MH Air Ride Height control valve.

Was wondering about changing out the manual linkage style Height control valve to an adjustable from the pilot seat Height control valve.

1. Is it possible?
2. Is it safe?
3, if the above is possible is there a way of LOCKING it once in position so as not to inadvertently move the Height control valve and dumping or raising the rear suspension?


Long ago when I drove MY truck the 10' 2" spread axle trailer had a valve that wasn't adjustable it just dumped or charged the one axle to raise or lower it.

Sort of the same idea???

It's main use would be for entering and exiting parking lot driveways, there's not much of a problem around here because we are in PO DUNK USA but for instance in the Southwest part of the drainage systems for the torrential rains that they've NOT been getting is the street curb and gutters. This makes the driveway entrances very steep. The Motor home has skid wheels to prevent damage to the bodywork of the Motor home but the trailer hitch is catching hell at times, most of all I hate to announce that a ROOKIE has just pulled into the parking lot watch out or he'll do something stupid.

Sleeping in it without setting up the hyd. levelers would me somewhat of a use. I don't have a problem with it but my lovely bride sometimes says that she feels that its not level and she needs to be roped in to keep from falling out of bed.

Well first off it's your job as a good husband to always take the low side of the bed. You at least have a kickstand.........

Now for the valve...
This is a new design that will soon be offered as an OEM option on Freightliner Cascadia trucks. The idea is to be in control of height for various situations such as taking the weight off landing gear and stuff.
You however could put it to use on those approaches where you are dragging the rear of the coach.

It is available as a re-fit.

I looked for the nearest installer that would be in Calgary. That being said if I cant install it myself

I don't see it as TO BIG A PROLEM Mike

I have a call into a wrench that's pretty well versed in the truck repair industry I will see what he has to say about it.

It does look like the answer to my needs.

I would involve technical regardless because of the wiring aspect. I believe that there is a speed signal required to return the valve to ride height if you exceed 5 mph or something like that.

They will walk you through it once you tell them what you are trying to do.
