While servicing the truck yesterday I happened to move the end of the steering stabilizer shock....oil started peeing out.....WTH?? Did it again, more oil came out...

Had a spare OEM unit in the garage...changed it out.

Put one end of the removed unit in my vice...it would skip mid-stroke about two inches and then jam right up...wonder if that is the rest of the issue??? Will take it out later today and see how it acts....

I've always felt that Michelin tires have squirrelly feeling, beyond the green tire initial miles, but a better ride. I had a set of these on my Hot Rod 1993 K2500 4x4 and they wore evenly with decent life. No real funny wear on the tread lugs. They do like to keep small rocks embedded in the centers of the outer tread lugs.

The rims I had were difficult to mount resulting in extreme bead damage including a couple new "damaged during install" tires exploding in the tire shop safety cage. I scrapped the aftermarket rim set during that mess. I replaced the tires after taking a tree branch through the inner sidewall at 65 MPH. The tire still held air with a 1/2" chunk of the branch now serving as a large plug. (Debris fell off a landscaper trailer on the way to the dump no doubt.)

If it wasn't for wanting a more aggressive sidewall I would have put another set on. The BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO I put on do have aggressive sidewalls, but, melted away extremely fast.

Opinions needed......I did not realize (or didn't remember) that Michelin discontinued my beloved A/S series tire. 2 sets of A/S tires have carried me 146,000 miles and I HATE to put something different on the truck but I guess there is no other option.

I want to stay with Michelin and the closest thing I can find is the LTX A/T 2......

Any comments before I order up (4)???

I wish I could have bought the A/T 2's
I ended up buying Michelin Defender or something that starts with a D they are Square I Sxxx you NOT!!!

I don't drive the Dodge in the snow that much & use the Taco So I figured that I could have a smooth ride.

I've run the Michelin's now for about 45,000 miles and love them. I don't take the pickup out in inclement weather (snow/ice) much but when I have, she has done well. I bring her out mostly to tow the trailers and have never had an issue with this rubber. I would buy them again.
