Expect the time of your life, this is going to be incredible.

Ian

i am going to go this year. this will be my first year. my wife is comming too. i think she is more excited than i am. i cant wait.

So has anyone figured out where they are staying? when youre heading down?

anyone interested in a convoy? Im plannin on calling the campground later this week and get more info on the sites, $, and availability of being able to camp near eachother

Ian

Several of us from the thumb area usually leave Friday morning around 9 or 10. If anyone is interested in meeting up with us along I-69.

Digger if you're going along I-94 to I-69 look me up i'm right before 69 right off 94. I wouldn't mind a midnight run myself. Also wouldn't mind Fri morning run.

Later

Digger - Chris and I are both up for the morning run with you and the others

Ill have to be out front, 4 hrs of getting smoked out... :-laf

Ian

I was thinking in terms of Muncie being a 9-10 hour trip. I could join a morning convoy arriving in the early afternoon.

IRP should only be about 6 hours max. It's about an hour south of Muncie. We usually meet up at the I-69 Capac road exit and run I-69 straight into INDY. It's a straight shot and faster than 94. We will all have to keep in touch to arrange a convoy. There will probaly be a couple trucks with trailers with pulling trucks on them so the pace might be a little slower. But probaly not :-laf :-laf :-laf .

We're all leaving this Friday morning right ??? Earlier the better, gets us a good spot!!! LOL

I will probably be hauling my parents camper down there so the speed limit is what i'll be running (maybe a lil' over). If you guys run faster than that, have fun!!

Digger where is Capac rd exit ??? For us southern MI folks we could probably meet up at the rest area just north of Coldwater. That will give you northerner's a chance to stretch a little. Does anyone have a spot they would rather stop than a rest area ?

Curtis

how far north is the rest area (north of coldwater) Cpoling,Blue-beast, and I might head up there or just wait and look for the convoy to pass thru coldwater and jump on then catch up.

anyone going to be runnin CB's?

dont worry curtis were going to haul down our "Cummins Camper" so it will be slow going as well, maybe not haha

Ian

I'll be dragging a camper as well. Capac exit is a short distance west of where I-94 meets I-69 in the north/east, between Port Huron and Flint.

Nextel?

i dont think i would be able to head down until friday night or sat morning so i look forward to seeing you all down there. that sure would be cool to see a convoy that big going down the interstate!! i would have to agree with ian, i would want to be in the front :-laf has anyone figured out how much camping is? i would like to register in april to get a head start on things.

Matt how's that trans workin out for ya ? How come you can't join the convoy like the rest of us ?? Wife got ya on lock down ? ;)

nope, works got me this time, i can take saturday off :{ (good money day) and the only way i think i would be able to get friday off is if theres a huge rain storm friday morning  boss dont like us taking off days in a row, says thats why we get all winter off  .

i will see if i cant work him over and see if i could possibly get it off, i know the wife can (damn state workers :-{} get anything they want)

the trans is a different story now, i never got a pressure gauge hooked up until it was to late... ... ... and now it dont move :( at all!!!! so i found a way to change it to a stick, and make a bit of money Oo. so it shouldnt be that bad. i wanted a dtt pretty bad but a lot of things came up this week so i have to have a transmission in it by this week and im a true to heart trucker, so i gotta have the stick (its all in my head i think) gonna get me a eaton fuller shift knob and pretend im in a big rig with the stack (s) :D
