Michigan and all who can Meet?

Urgent Legislative Alert

just start bugging him about it now and we'll all hope for rain here in MI (not at IRP!)

the EF will be sweet! and just think... low boost and a heavy pedal..... SMOKE!!!!! woohoo!!!! Oo.

are you going to be tenting?

Ian

BTW I want on the life insurance policy with that new sled! WOW!!

It looks like ALOT of fun though!!haha

ok got ya added. dont expect much i think after the insurance agent sees it he will deem it suicide.

im not to sure on which truck i will be bringing down right now. i want to drive the 95 but its coming much slower than expected, and more so with me having to work on the work truck. cuttin a 100 plate and throwing in a set of 3k for the work truck, maybe a better runner at the next dyno.

i think me and the wife will be tenting it down there. i dont see much of a reason to haul the camper down for 1 or 2 nights. we have a air bed so it shouldnt be to bad. ive slept in worse.

what time would the southerners be leavin on friday? if i can get it off i would love to join the convoy. is it going to be a early trip or late morning?

ok i think this might work, 1 mile spacing on the smokey trucks :D j/k

matt

I'll be coming down Sat. morning from Flint, MI. First time attendee, I'll be the one with my eyes bulging out of my head, having never seen anything but sled pulls before.

I'll be staying at the Hampton Inn @ Plainfield, I heard those late night parking lot festivities can get out of hand..... I'll be right there!

Any of you gentlemen ever pulled at the Genesee County fair? I've made sure I go to see the trucks pull each of the past few years, ever since buying my CTD in 01'.

See you all there, looking forward to meeting a few people.

Matt if you have a trailer just haul the 95 down there (if it's done) or i'll haul it for you if you like! So what are you doing with the automatic ? Anybody got dibs on it ? Sorry to hear about the bad luck with it though, really sux when you spend the $$ and it takes a ****.

Maybe after your boss fires you for taking 2 days off in a row i'll take over for ya ;) LOL

Seriously hope you can join the convoy!

Later

i thought about hauling it down, but if i take it i will be driving it. as far as the auto trans goes, im gonna sell it as a core. im sure some bands took it pretty hard, so i would feel bad if it went as anything else. just doing this so that someone that cant afford downtime with thier truck can have a core to give instead of paying a extra $1000 for it. as far as the vb goes im gonna send that to gorends to have checked and looked at to know its good and probably trade a friend around here for thier stock one. the converter is going back to gorends. i cant say he would fire me but i would be on some pretty crappy jobs for a while

LOL don't get stuck on crappy jobs!!! Although it will be worth it! What's the price you would like for that trans ?

How about you get me a job where you're at also ?? Need something new!

Need anything give me a hollar, you still have my # right ?

Curtis

not sure about the price on the transmission probably about $500 with stock converter and dunrite vb. i already have about 2 dozen people trying to get in there and not one of them probably will. its slow. yeah i still got your number, i might need a template for that heat shield if this one doesnt work out (trying to make one out of ss).

 #7 of the 24 trackside camping spots Oo. Oo. Oo.

All 24 spots are equally good with a view of both the drag strip and the pulling track, about 1/2 are paved according to Mike at IRP,. Elect & Water is being reserved for the vendors, they will be shared with the premium sites IF capacity allows, showers are also available. Gates open between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, there is an event Thurs that has to get cleared out before IRP lets us in.

Rock do they allow tents to be pitched next to campers ?? If so would you mind sharing your spot for a fee ?? I think i'll take the tent instead of the camper, easier.

Thanks

Curtis

I and my crew (kids) are going for the fourth year in a row. I want to leave Michigan around noon friday, and head down 69. Anyone want to put together a convoy let me know. We are not sure what campground we are going to so I am open for suggestions.

Kyle

There is a start to a convoy leaving I-69 from the Port Huron area around 9:30am on Friday. This group will meet up with another group at a rest stop near the southern I-69/I-94 area.

Sounds like a plan, PM me I will will give anyone who wants to convoy my cell number. Also I just got in contact with the track and got one of the last remaining camping spots. There were 5 left as of 3/23. They are $30 a night track side with but no hook ups, but there are new showers close by that we will have access to. I am going to run my 5th wheel over to the welding shop to put a bracket on the back for my 5K generator (been meaning to do it anyway) so the AC and other stuff will work.

Kyle

OK WHOS CAMPING OUT OF THE TRACK??? and where? how to reserve?

its getting close and im starting to worry!! Id like to be where the late night action is going down and not stuck in the middle of a parking-lot surrounded by ferds/chebbies

Ian

Last I heard Digger was heading up a convoy out of Capac around 10:00am, meeting up with a southern MI group near I-94/I-96. Is this still on? Yahoo estimates 6. 5 hrs from the Port Huron area, TeleNav estimates 6 hrs.

It's getting close guys..... When and where are the meeting places??? It might be a small PITA to organize, but it would also be really fun to roll into INDY in a convoy!
