I use to run a set of 16x10s on my truck and with coil spacers I was only able to run 285 tires. For me personally they stuck out too much for the size tires that I was running and made my truck look sort of squatted. So I ditched those and got some 17x9 eagle alloys and was able to get some 35x12. 50 tires squeezed under the truck. They stuck out about the same amount as the mt's but since theyre taller they look a lot better in my opinion. You might be able to do the same with the 17x9 mt's but im not sure.
Yeah if I was to do it all over again I would have prolly gone with the 16x8 wheels but I put fender flares on and they rubbed down to the primer so I cant take them off and they would stick out further than the tires with some 16x8 and I dont like that at all. But oh well, I guess you live and learn.
have 16 x 10's with 36-13. 50-16 iroks on mine and they do stick out pretty good. inspection ticket at the beech forced me to put flairs on. Im in the process now of looking for new rims w/mt atz tires. I did have 1 rim crack but other than that they have been fine for 40k miles. Check out my r/r section for pics
