Microsoft Internet Explorer Wizards - Help

I have two problems:



1) When I print a web page from IE, it always cuts off the stuff on the right side of the page. I have went in and told it to fit the page, but it still does it.



2) I have to surf using Mozilla now, because when a page loads into IE, it is really slow. I am on an 82Kbps ISDN at work. Every page will come up on the screen at normal speed, but something makes the HD grind for about a minute before it lets me click on anything. Program manager shows it not responding until that time.



Any suggestions??

What version of of IE and OS are you running?

Can you try printing landscape format to see if it is still getting chopped?

Welcome to Micorosoft, IE is typically slower than other browsers, but I don't think it should hammer your systems like this. Have you run any disk tools like check disk and defrag? Have you cleaned history and temp files? All of this could effect system proformance.

I'd have to agree with mjend on this one. You have 2 choices: "Interweb Exploder" and "Nutscrape. " Take your pick Personally, I think IE is better, but that's just my $. 02.

There is also opera. I have heard this is a great browser. Check it out at www.opera.com

1. Have you tried going to the "File" menu in the menu bar & adjusting your margins? On my version of MSIE it's under "Page Setup".



2. Something is definitely not right! If it weren't for the fact Mozilla works fine I'd almost suspect some sort of security software causing the delay since it's acting as a go-btwn. Have you tried dl'ing MS latest & greatest? When's the last time you did a "Windows Update"? I'm currently running MSIE 6. xxx with 128-bit cipher strength & haven't experienced any sort of problems with it or previous versions from 5. xxx on up.



I'm only running a 366MHz system so I don't exactly have a 'screaming' fast system & I've yet to have my system act as any sort of 'bottleneck'. And it won't ever unless connection speeds get up into the +240Mbps range! Something that ain't gonna happen any time soon! Currently only at ADSL speeds -- max of 1Mbps download speed.



If I suspect connection difficulties I'll bring up a websites' home page that I know loads fast in another browser window as a test. If it doesn't open normally then I know I'm having connection problems & it's not the browser.



I wouldn't use Opera. From what I've read it's contains 'spyware'. Go to downloads.com & search downloads for opera then read the reviews -- shortcut to negative reviews for the "straight scoop".

Thanks for all of the suggestions

LadyJaine PM'd me and told me to dump the cache. I did that, and the speed came back. I tried adjusting the margins, but it still chops off the side of the page.
