My wife needed Office 2003 standard edition on one her computers at work so she went to Best Buy and bought a copy. She did not realize it was a upgrade until she tried to install it and it would not let her. So I was tasked with taking back the upgrade, getting the full version and installing it. I went back to Besy Buy and after waiting 10 minutes in the return line, there was no one in line in front of me but the woman was busy doing something else, I was informed it could not be returned as it was open. The return clerk was then kind enough to point out that the return policy was clearly written on the back of the reciept. I explained I wanted purchase the full version, did not matter. I walked away, although I was on the verge of a meltdown. I stopped and started reading the Office 2003 box, suitable upgrade packages included Microsoft Works 7. 0 (current version). So I went back to the isle with the Microsoft stuff and there is was, the cost was $45 and it had a rebate of $15 so really it was $30. The cost of the Office 2003 upgrade was $239, the cost of the full version was $430!!. So I bought the Works 7. 0 not really believing it would work but it was worth a try. I installed Works and then Office and went without a hitch!! So I got Office 2003 standard for $270. I had to laugh in the end as I was ****** at Best Buy's return policy but it ended up saving my wife $160. So if you need Office 2003 this is a cool way to save a few bucks.
