Mid-January lunch in VA

Anyone interested in planning a Saturday afternoon lunch in mid-January in the northern Virginia area to tide us over until the next season of events and races begins?

This get-together would have a dual purpose. One is to have a meet to shake off the winter doldrums. The second purpose is to present a Rudy to Merv (Huff-n-Puff), who is the 2003 DHRA Division 1 Champion.

The Kauffman deal was a no-go. And I've been too busy getting DHRA ready for the upcoming season.

So, is anyone interested in setting up a Sunday brunch on, maybe, 2/22 in the general D. C. area?

I had envisioned something perhaps somewhat SW of DC. However, Budd's Creek is only about 3. 5 hours from here. If they can handle a small riotous crowd, I'll be there!

Anyone else from SW VA intersted in going?

I've eaten at BERT's and the food is good. It's also large enough to handle our "crowd". It is SE of Waldorf, in the general diection of Budd's Creek.

Also, is this "Bert's 50's Diner" or "Bert's Restaurant and 50's Drive-In"? They seem to be two different places in two different locations.
