Meeting

Hey All. This Is Terry. Just Wanted To Say Hey And Let Yall Know We Will Be Going To The Meeting. Getting Together At Hooters Sounds Great. We Look Forward To Seeing Everyone.

So close, but it won't work for me. :(

I'll be passing thru the area sometime that Friday on my way to Valdosta, GA, and returning on Sunday (I hope!). I'll make it to a meeting *someday*!

Whatever happened to the videos from the pull in Covington several months ago? PistonSlapper and a few others were there for my first pull with an almost-stock truck. :)

If I could setup more pulls in the west end of the state, would y'all come? I have a friend wanting to build a race track; I've suggested truck pulls as part of the venue.

I wish I was going to be in town that weekend. I still have not installed my new injectors. . Have fun.

Ken

Hey ya'll, meet Ken. He's a Boro boy. Lives out 96 West. He had a Cummins with box and transmission before I got mine. I've known him for years as a ham radio operator. That's his callsign N4HWL. Mine is W1ADE.

He just installed gauges and is ready to pop some injectors in.

Now for the meeting business:

logo/design for us.

officers? ya'll want some new ones or leave it like it is? How about an "events" coordinator? Keep us informed of drag races/ pulls/ socials.

dyno-- Brent's or KW in Jackson?

Kick it around.

well, just to let ya'll know. mike and i have been working on my pos 95 since before christmas attempting to get it ready for the gordyville, il pull on feb 5th. we only have 2 weekends left. we are going to have to work extremely hard to get it finished but i already sent in my $125 entry fee. so we have to get it done. we'd love to come, but it looks like we are going to have to miss this one. we are going to try to come up for the next ivy bluff pull or another one this coming up season. nick

Hey guys,

Man you not gonna believe what is going down with my injectors. Rod has run off with lots of money and no products were ever ordered.

Oh well, on the other hand, Don has the injectors and will be sending them to me on Monday. Not sure how they are coming or when but there is a strong possibility I will have them for the meet. I hope that they come in, and wondered if we would still have a spot open for installation?

I talked to Hans - Heavyhauler - today. He has gauges to install, that I want to help on for knowledge on installing mine later, and he wanted to help me install injectors - for his knowledge on installing his later. Good swap, I hope. . hehe

Let me know if its a problem and I will keep you guys informed as to what to expect from me. I guess if I get them to install I will bring beer, if not I will bring coke... . LOL!

If beer just happens to fall into the truck what kinds need to make it in? :-laf

Thanks gents!

I have access to many 8' tables if y'all think we need em. Also about 50 chairs... they're hard plastic, but better than the floor. Let me know

Any body else notice thier driving habits are more aggressive when meetings get closer? :D :-laf

I am a little aggrevated with the Rod / Wildcat Diesel situation too. I have buddies who have ordered and haven't seen or heard anything for months. Backorder, backorder, Rod's out of business. Stinks!

Paul, That would be sweet to bring some tables and chairs. Be nice! Shop gonna be pretty bare. We gonna be the first ones to dirty the floor! We'll leave our mark on the shop floor and in the street!

It's going to have a nice smell to it when we blow smoke in it. I think we should have a burnout contest in the shop... ... ... JOKING... ... ... I can understand what you mean by driving more aggresive... My poor truck must think I go to meetings 24/7 ... ... ... . HEHE ... ... . Piston slapper will have to tell you about the smokey movie drop off... ... I'm just trying to get Dickson ready for all the smoke everyone else is going to bring... ... SMOKE SMOKE... .

Called JR today... . told him to do his best to get a set of his Laser Cut DV's to me by Friday.

CAN YOU SAY SMOKE! Oo.

P. S. WADE! Bring your timing kit with you to the meeting... . if you don't mind I'm gonna bring it home with me and attempt to do my timing somewhere in the future! :-laf

Wade: what time do we meet at the truck stop between Lavergne and Hickory Hollow on Saturday?

Do you think my truck will be able to keep up with yours? haha

Looking forward to diesel day, Tennessee style!

And I dont smoke... ... but my truck does! :-laf

I was talking with Terry earlier on AIM and got to thinking I want my plate full forward! Oo. But I have to do the Gov. Lever Adjustment before I can slide my plate any father forward.

Hopefully JR can get my DV's too me too, but I'd like to reserve a spot for my truck to get in there and do the Gov. lever adjustment.

Exactly how much room are we gonna have Gap?

What time do ya'll want to meet. I was thinking 9-10 . am. ? give us time to BS, turn some wrenches, eat and blow smoke. Ya'll want it earlier later or what. Wanted to give ya'll time to get up and drive.

Shop is 32 x 70, it should be about wide open. Will have plent of room.

Hey All, I Was Gonna Let Ya'll Know I Think I Have Two More People Joining Us. I Say The Earlier The Better. Also Something Was Mentioned About A Few Of Us Meeting At Hooters To Head Up There Is That Gonna Happen? I Will Be Coming From Lebanon. Thanks.

What brand gauges you got? What size hole you gonna need tap'd? 1/4 or 1/8th npt? You got all the plumbing? Boost bolt? Fuel line adapters? You can pre build your wiring harness. Daisy chain them together... top to the middle, middle to the bottom, bottom to your hot and ground. Go ahead and paint your A-pillar (just guessing) and mount your gauges in the holes.

Gap - I've got Di-Pricols with a 1/4" NPT thermocouple for the pyro. All of the tubing and misc. stuff is supposed to be with them and I've already got my hose made up to connect the FP isolator to the schrader valve. We'll have to remove the needle valve in the schrader fitting when I get there. I just got a regular 4-JIC fitting on that end of the hose. I've got the boost bolt too.

I'll definitely get the pod painted and have the gauges set in and try to wire them up if I have time. Would you use just regular "butt" connectors or the heat shrink ones? (I hate wiring) I also thought about just running one long wire from the top gauge and then tapping into it with the quick connects. If anybody has any better suggestions - please let me know. (Did I mention that I hated wiring?) I may just wait until the meet to do the harness - shouldn't take more than 5 minutes I wouldn't think.
