The 15th or 29th is fine with me fellas. I too had said that I couldn't make it on the 22nd - pay attention Andy! :)

I gotta get on the ball with these gauges so I can have em for the meeting. I got some injectors in today too but I'll probably wait a while before I put em in.

I know I know... In my defense, I DID say that there was one weekend in particular that I knew a couple of people had already said they couldn't make it, and we needed to schedule around that. Lucky me, I pick the ONE. :(

Man, there are several people with new injectors. I'm looking forward to seeing those installs.

HeavyHauler, I am with Dieselnutz. Git 'er done. They look pretty in the box, but put them in and enjoy them.

I was browsing (and drooling) on the Wild Cat diesel site today. Looking at the SB clutches. Saw a CON-FEW that had not seen before. Rated for 550+ HP. Anybody heard or know anything about this one?

Daddy's got a little bonus money burning a hole in his pocket. Like the song goes, "Dreams of injectors and smoke clouds are dancing around in my head" or something like that. The Mach 3's are a definite go along with the WildCat high fuel flow kit. Got to evaluate the $$ for the clutch as I know the stock one will be short lived.

Wade, I will be in Woodbury on Sunday. Will give you a call on the bug thingie. Hmmmm, even more $$ to the clutch fund. Sweet!!!!

I think Wallace had a good idea of making the Hooters lunch meet a monthly or bi-monthly thing. Nothing goes better together than Hooters and diesels (except maybe a few brewskies. ) What do you guys say to a Hooters lunch meet every 3rd Thursday of the month?

Oh yeah, who else is up for a dyno run. Steve is interested. Also have a guy here at work with a Wustang that is wanting to dyno. Trying to get 4-6 people together to get a decent price. Probably target early January to run to let the holiday uproar settle down.

Jay,

Put me down for the dyno. I want to check my baseline numbers before I get the injectors installed. That way I can go Oo. even more..... LOL!

EMail me and let me know what date and how much and the time and where.

Thanks dude,

Guys Wade told me a while back that DELK was gonna start charging us a flat rate of $100 for Dynoing because the last time we were out there it took them three hours to get the walls white again. :{

Their walls will NEVER be white again! :-laf

I never did get to discuss it with Brent or Heath. The dyno price that is. We'll see.

I'm good for any date in Jan. so far

Bug money--Hey Jay did you see the cop at West Main last night? I had to keep my foot light. Your truck is sounding good. Then I ran into a "Lightning" and was going to show him some THUNDER, but another cop. Creepy crawly coppers. Friday night I guess.

Don't know where I'll be Sunday. I've been scheduled by the better half. Just call. 542-1957

Now to go poke holes in Mark's truck.

New To TDR and Needing Help!

Hey Guys!

I'm a new member of the TDR and am a recently convert to Diesel.

I have a 2002 Ram 2500 4X2 SWB, Nerf Bars, Rhino Bed Liner and about 60K of Highway miles behind me.

I love my Diesel and couldn't imagine ever owning anything else.

However:

I am having an throttle response problem that seems to come an go as it pleases. The tech at the Local Dealer is stumped. They've had my truck for 2 days and they still can't find the problem. :{

I was hoping that someone else might have had a similiar problem and had some insight into what was going own.

I can be driving my truck for about an hour and then I can feel the truck begin to lose power. I can mash the pedal to the floor and the truck will not respond. No acceleration, nothing. It's like the exhaust is closed tight or the engine is starving for fuel. I can maintain close to my current speed when this happens, but I cannot accelerate.

If I drop my RPM's or down shift the truck will start to accelerate again, but it may go through this cycle over and over again until I let the truck rest a while.

I've changed my fuel filter and I have had the Dealer's tech check the fuel pressure from the TPS and the VP44. The service tech told me that my fuel pressure is good and they are not sure why the truck loses throttle response.

My hope is that someone with the TDR has a better knowledge of such problems with the 24V ISB and can lead me to a resolution.

Thanks for the Input

Well we got the 4" hole cut in the bed floor for my crosspipe, however Dad and I have to modify the crossmember because I don't like having my stacks far back from the cab.

O'Riley's in Hartsville ordered the wrong 3" to 4" adapter for me so I have to wait till Tuesday for that. Other than that I just need one 3" and one 4" clamp and two bolts with washers to bolt the crosspipe down and I have everything else I need. I can't wait to get these stacks on now! Oo.

Was hoping for before Christmas, but it looks like I will most likely be installing them on the day of New Years Eve. :( Oh well as long as they get on there I will be :D

First, Welcome!

Second--I'd recommend the D/C dealer in Lebanon. If they can't figure it out, they've got a nice 02 with about 600 HP on the lot. Oo. :-laf

Seriously, they have a pretty good service dept. And Meacham works there.

Gotta run. Oh, and don't call Mark on his cell, he smashed it yesterday. :{

It works, just no inside screen  the out side screen tells me who's calling and I have to manually call people unless I know the speeddail #. Should have replacement by Wednesday they say. 478-0708 for those of you who have my old nextel #.

Hey guys. When is the next meeting? I know I've been away. Maybe I can bring some cool tools to the next meeting to do some work. Just let me know.

Gotta feeling your gonna catch a lotta :-{} I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER :-laf

Anyhow its down @ Gap's on Jan. 15th... ... alternate 29th if bad weather.

Come around more often Meacham, I need to get over to Lebanon a little more and hang out with that town menace Terry! :-laf :-laf

Hey

Hey all, thought I would jump in and say hi. I am looking for a dana 80 rear axle preforably with disc brakes for a resonable price. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to the meeting. See y'all.

I have a good friend looking for a used truck. Any help finding one would be very appreciated. He is looking for 1 ton 4x4 with a manual trans. 94 to 02, flatbed or pickup bed, quad cab or standard cab. If anyone knows of one let me know. Thanks.

Might as well add another looker to the list. I've got a buddy just itching to trade in his new Z71 (11,000 miles) to get a Dodge diesel.

He wants a 3/4 ton 4x4 Quad Cab manual transmission. Wants a 2nd Gen truck so that means 98-02. I would imagine he wouldn't want anything with over 75,000 on it and would probably prefer something with less than 50,000 if that's possible. He'll want all the goodies - power everything, leather if available, CD.

What about Meacham's truck? Is the dealer going to keep it or what? I remember something being said about it a few pages ago. This guy's not afraid of power but is Meacham's truck too much for a daily driver? Is that possible? :D

He wants a heavily bombed truck so I figured he might be a good candidate for Meacham's truck. Any info?

If not, stay on the lookout for this guy a truck. There's a ton of Dodges in Lexington across the river - we may head out over there in a few days.

HeavyHauler,

If your friend wants a heavily bombed truck, this is the one! I can tell you every modification and it could probably be bought for $28,000. It will turn the 1/8th mile at 7. 71 @ 89. 43 mph and the quarter close to sub 12 sec. It only has 41,000 miles and is a great daily driver. Check it out at Lebanon Dodge.

Welcome Automation Joe!

Don't forget our January meet. January 15th in Dickson, TN. Should be a good show. We had 28-29 trucks there last year.

Did they tell you what the fuel pressure was? The "It's good" answer is not good enough! Did they test it under load, meaning did they test it driving down the road? They should, needs to be tested under acceleration. Sounds like low fuel pressure aka failing lift pump. Did the ECM throw any codes? Limp mode by chance? If it did / does go into limp mode it would turn on the Service Engine Soon light and should be apparent to them. Still sounds fuel related. It could very well be reading in specs (greater than 8 psi @ idle) and dropping to 0 under acceleration. Let us know... .

Meacham,

Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna get a hold of this guy tonight and maybe we can run up there in a few days. I'd like to see the truck before it gets gone anyway. The mileage is right for him, is your truck a quad cab?

Hopefully that much power won't scare him off - he may choke at the 600hp figure! :-laf

Talk to you guys soon.
