Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

I'll work on getting an outline of tennessee... I tried before, but couldn't ever find a vector one... they seem to all be raster, which doesn't scale very well when enlarged to "t-shirt" size... they pixellate really badly. Once we get away from lines, circles, and the like, my abilities go downhill sharply.

I'll check the guidelines on using the cummins name in conjunction with with with a slogan. If memory serves, the name itself is trademarked as well, and may also be restricted. So long as the logo is 4" (I think) from anything else, I believe it can be used. Provided the the correct pantone color is used for its coloration. . :( or some crap like that...

Using other peoples stuff is a grandiose pain in the ***.

I'll keep diddling with it...

QUOTE=HeavyHauler] I really think the Cummins "C" needs to be on the front over the left breast or where a pocket would go. I think this would further distinguish us from the Ford/Chevy boys. I don't really think that the TDR logo needs to be on their either.

Been mentioned by someone before... . we could buy the shirt from Cummins and add whatever you want. Kinda spensive shirt tho

We could TRY that... maybe... It is my uneducated contention that would be the same as having the logo printed. We'ed have to ask Cummins and/or our screenprinter. It's kinda the same as trying to have "professional" pictures duplicated.

know what I mean? I'm not saying it's out... just sayin' I dunno if that'll work or not.

BUT, since I couldn't even GET the logo and you COULD, I'd say "you da man Paul! Get it done!". :)

Andy - that logo is AWESOME!!! Oo.

You hit the nail on the head with that one buddy! That looks good - I really like everything. I would not change a thing! That's what I want to wear right there!

I agree. The last logo is THE one. Good work Andy! As a bonus, you made the Rig of the Day on the TDR home page. Andy is just the man!

Gawd... that was a wild night never to be repeated. None of us had a clue what pulling that little sled would do to our minds.

AND, credit where credit is due. I traced Wallaces state logo. I couldn't blow his up to size, so I layered it, and traced it. If it weren't for that, we would've been without a state logo in our design. Everyone had talked about using the state logo before, I'm glad he ressurrected it.

Update on truck goodies:

Got 4" SS exhaust installed (and proud to remove and install in under 2 hours all alone :D ), I did also get a response from Rod at Wildcat. He says everything is still on order and a go, but will let me know when the injectors should arrive. Don is behind on building them, he says, so we will wait and see.

So with that I may or may not have them to install for our meet and greet. If there is anyone else with something to do that day please let them have my spot, due to not being sure if I will have anything to install :{ :{ :{

And for the new exhaust... . WOW DUDE! :--)

How cool is that. Seems like way more power and the sound is unbelievable... . for this poor white boy anyway... haha! Got the system from DPP. Nice bunch of guys there.

Just kidding, you know I had to, it was too easy just sitting there.

I like the logo too, and was the next design I would have done. Thanks for Andy and his time setting it up. That made it easy for me... HEHE!

Hey thanks for the heads up. I dropped by today to look at it,nice truck. Its a gasser though, dont know if my mind would allow that. . haha.

99, white, 3500, 97k, V8-magnum, Auto, 4x4, flat bed - no dump, basic interior, good shape though. $12,900

I will continue to look, would like a truck setup already with dump bed and a cummins, its in my blood now!

Wallace - on my way to City Diesel yesterday, I stopped in Lawrenceburg to get a better look at that 1 ton. It's a white quad cab 2000 4x4 dually with tan leather interior with the factory woodgrain and an automatic transmission. I'm not sure of the mileage, but the body and interior looked excellent. If I was going to put a dump on a truck, this would be the one (if you still want a nice truck).

It's worth checking the price on, the place is the Cotter Company, and the number is (931) 829-2189.

Let me know what you find out.

What is the word?

If I was looking at various trucks, auto verses manual shift, which is better for bombing? Is one better than the other, and why?

Went looking at a truck Heavy Hauler found for me. It was a nice truck, but it was cool to ride in his cool beast, and its a manul shift. So naturally that got me to thinking about the advantage of both.

If looking for a towing machine to bomb, again any advantage of manual verses auto?

Thanks fellas,

When looking for a truck to BOMB manuals will ALWAYS be cheaper than automatics. The weak link in the driveline in all 2nd Gen CTD's is the auto transmission. The minute you start turning up the power to them you better start putting money back. They can't handle the extra strain, and if you tow with them then that's just less time you will get out of it.

The main auto transmission companies you see talked about (no brand wars here) gerenally come with price tags from $3000-4000. I have heard of one transmission Georand (sp is incorrect, will find later on TDR and post for you) that is reasonably priced ($2800) and the guy stands behind his stuff really well according to a lot of DTR members.

With a manual you can start turning up your power and yeah your clutch will slip, when it does though you can back off the power a little bit and still have some time to buy a clutch. When a auto transmission starts showing bad signs its usually all at once.

A good SBC clutch (13" upgraded Con OFE "450RWHP") goes for around $1100-1200 I think? BIG price difference when playing with power! :D

So is that all you have to worry about when going with a manual shift, the clutch? Just trying to explore all my options.

I have a bombed auto trans and yes its much $$$, and I really dont want to go there again, or at least not for a while. The reason I ask is as you explained, up front cost is much less, which equals many smiles for me :D :-laf Oo.
