So far Tennessee has been interesting. Beautiful green everywhere. Looking at houses all day tomorrow. Went to a combination Shell station and Subway off 24 north to get lunch. Walked up to the clerk and asked where the maps were, went over to check them out and the person behind me walked up with a gun and robbed them. I didn't even know untill they locked the store down. Glad they didn't do any shooting. I'm a shooters dream target, large and slow moving.

Ron

I've lived in middle Tn for 40 years and have not had this experience yet. If I do, I hope not to know until its over, just like you... ... . or I'd have to hand my drawers to my wife and tell her to "shout it out" :-laf

Hope everything else goes better for ya.

Skid..... Mainly, we get together and socialize with an occasional wrenching day or truck pull. So far there's no dues to pay and everyone with a CTD is welcome.

Well if I see someone pointing a gun the wrong way, I'm obligated to put a few 230 grain slugs in him/her. If those don't work, the "flying ashtray" hollowpoints in the bottom of the magazine might rattle their hairdo.

Hope it never happens, but I walked into the parts house with my 45 on the other day and found out that the cops had just been there dealing with some meth heads. Cop got roughed up, chick took three hits of mace to the eyes and kept coming. Dude was still on the loose. Timing- a couple degrees off.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Well, when our fat, slow, and lazy administration gets off its butt, we have some meetings where folks eat and we piddle under hoods and shoot the breeze. We've done our own dyno events and gone to some "Grand Openings" lately. The drag racers sneak away to their events. The pullers like to have a crowd. We usually had 5-10 TDR spectators and 3-5 pullers at most local events last year.

But lately our biggest accomplishment is getting our T-shirts printed.

The dyno place soured on us sooting the place out all day long.

The pulling group doesn't favor us pulling with them much.

El Presidente/High Commander is starting a new business and getting married.

But the price is right. Submit your contact info to Anydman. Show up to a gathering. They've gotten really informal lately. You're in.

And keep an eye out here. Sometimes this is all the exposure our meetings get.

Now back to the fishin' ;)

Enjoyed the visit to Mid- Tennessee. Any time somebody says something about how green a place is I will always think about his trip. Nice roads too. And I have never seen so many churches and gas stations in my life. Coming home on the plane there was a guy behind us from TN taking his first airplane trip. Flying over Lake Meade near Las Vegas a couple of miles up in the air he says, " I can see 3 fish down there in the water". They were boats. He was about 65 to 70 years old. His girlfriend told him they were boats. Him and about 4 rows of other people had a good laugh.

You gotta love them Ol Timers!! We have Ol Timers day every year in Dickson. Coming up this weekend actually. Whole day dedicated to them, tobacco spitting, liars contest, bluegrass and gospel, bar-b-que, and a parade! Whole town sporting there overalls!

Glad you liked it! How did the house hunting go? Unbelievable about the gas station hold up!!! So are you moving here or what? Which area did you like?

Glad you and your wife had a safe and pleasant trip Ron. It was nice to speak with you on the phone. Hope the land/house hunting went well for you.

Still can't believe that hold-up. I drove by that station twice on Sunday... still shaking my head over that deal.

Come back and get together with us soon!

Andy

We liked the Dickson area. Looked at a nice place in Burns, and another one right on 70 a few miles west of Dickson. Saw a sign that said Dickson County Coon Hunters Association on the way to one house. We waited for the realtor to show up at the McDonalds in White Bluff. Saw alot of pickups jumping on the gas heading out on the road that intersects hwy 70 right there. Didn't get to eat at the Perfect Pig. Wife wanted to look at Fairview, and it was getting late on friday so we ended up eating at some snooty French kinda place on Franklin Road in Brentwood. I wasn't real hungry when I walked in, and I wasn't real full when I walked out. Wallet was 52 dollars lighter. For that kind of money they should chew it for me. It was good though. The company I interviewed at made me an offer. Trouble is the housing is pricey untill you get at least 40 or so miles out of Nashville. Wife and i are talking it over. I have to make a decision in the next week or so.

Sorry Nick I misunderstood your posting of the cancled Trenton pull... ... though you were meaning the Lawrenceburg pull.

Thanks Andy for getting the shirts to the CCD's grand opener.

Getting close to closing on the business deal. I'm going to keep one end of the shop open for trucks and such. I'll be easy to find out there. Bean is looking hard a getting a dyno for his shop.

My box has to go back to the man. Meacham found that it was setting an overboost code. 45psi isn't over is it?

Not going anywhere for a while.

What do ya'll think about having a meeting at Meacham's? No dyno's or burnouts ;) but we can swap parts and tell lies. Afternoon on a Saturday or all day on a Sunday.

Seems pointless to do a local dyno day with all the other events going on. But then I really don't know what is going on. What all events are coming up? How many folks do we have wanting to dyno here? I'll run the green thing. Fee may be as high as $100. Lemme know and I'll work on it.

The MTPA pulling thing is this: They'll let us pull last "exhibition" after ever official MTPA class is finished. I think they're supposed to wait 30 minutes and pull all their banners down. Insurance is the main culprit.

This will make a long night of it, but will give us a chance to play. I'm not really excited about pulling as my truck needs work and hasn't been BOMB'ed any more. Ivy Bluff -Barry Mitchell, isn't planning hosting any pulls this year. He too has some more commitments. BUT we are kicking the idea around of trying to get a truck-only pull in the works for 2006--with two or three diesel classes.

I'll pull Mooretown if nothing else.

Only pull it looks like I'll be competeing in this summer is my annual KYDTR event in Cynthiana, KY. I just don't have any $$$ put back if the unthinkable happens.

Besides I wanna upgrade somethings before I feel I will be competitive at my northern events... ... Dilbert needs to get his truck back together..... at least then I'll have a tow rig & a trailer that I'm at liberty to borrow any time I need. :D

$100 is a little steep ain't it for Dyno? Exhibition everywhere seems like these days... . can't pull in dickson anymore due to insurance... Nick and mike has some pulls and a class setup, but you gotta have fuel kill switch, air shutoff, bell housing blanket, yada... . really starting to chap me!! I really enjoy and am drawn more to pulling. I have always enjoyed more "dirt" events, but drag racing is starting to look more appealing. at least you can actually go some where and play. We can drive our trucks up and down the road all day long, but can't pay somebody to be on a stretch of dirt by ourselves to drive 15 mph in a straight line? What gives???

Still need to pull the pump off the ol mans truck. It'll crank after you turn it over several times, when it does crank, it's pucking oil out the dipstick tube. ?

DieselDork(garrett) has installed some edm nozzles in a friend of his truck. 150hp nozzles = $300! sweet! Give us the scoop dude!! I think they came from BD??
