Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Andy--you're going to get tired of people walking up to you and saying "Were's Wade?" when you pull up in that green thing.

Mark--you're way too young to get married. But congrats anyway.

Joe--good luck on the VP. Mine and Mom's are still OEM.

Gap--well, nebbermind.

YALL--missed the PARTY. I don't know If I'll ever get this wineandbeer drunk up.

What was the question?

Ho yeah, I don't know were my timing thing is--might be here, but I'll have to look--maybe this evening.

AND WE DID BUY THE RED TRUCK. Oo. 98 quad sport--the works, just pour in fuel and drive. It'll be a few weeks before we get the thing.

mike and i MAY be able to make it to atwood. Mike is finishing the year out with a severly blown head gasket. Are ya'll gonna let us pull in the street class? if we can't then we probably won't make it. Nick

Yeah, Ya'll can pull in the Street Class, with your Street Trucks! :D

I don't know about the "Pro Stock Pulling Truck"(see your signature)qualifying for a STREET class... Just busting your chops pork rind.

Seriously, I really don't care, would love to see ya'll pull. Don't like gettin beat by you though :( I don't know how that will fly with the track, I'll find out for ya though.

Headgasket? He studded? O-ring'd?

Mark, You big sissy! You better hook. Joe says you hooking is what makes him want to hook. Just have Sniperdork ride with you. Ya'll split the fuel or something. Pulling at your power level ain't gonna hurt that turbo. Your doing it no harm. That turbo is loafing. It gets worked harder by you playing with it on the street like I know you do. We got trailers, we'll get you home... . sissy, yeller, skirt!

Come on ya'll! We are pumped!! Red's done said that We are gonna do something even if it's breaking! He said if that turbo lights (tight TC)it's going on the floor. Don't need no gauges! He called me today, starring at them new tires he bought from underwood squaretire saying. You think I should put these new tires on there? Wanna make sure we get a good bite :D

Titanium head gasket--mmmmmmmm. Something has gotta make those rods come out!

HEY, who's got a little p-pump? Bean is looking for one. I sold mine for a door stop, but I think it might see the road again. :p

SQUARETIRE-- no wonder they're cheap. :-laf

Wade Jr. 's twin made it home safe. She's sittin over at Underwood Squaretire's place awaiting surgery tomorrow.

Paul helped us load. We only had one "hole tightening" moment. I'll talk about that later. Still a little too shaken up to talk about it. Paul got some pics, hopefully he'll get 'em posted.

We got Gap outta bed to help unload. Purrrs like a little kitten till you snap the throttle. . then it smokes white and pops a little. If you gently roll on the throttle, it's smooooooth all the way to about 3400RPM. Gotta adress that tomorrow.

The pucker came from them loading it, not towing it. I said the same thing. Why you got all the weight in the back? Make the trailer squirly. He said didn't hurt it at all, pulled good. They about pulled it off the trailer sideways when loading it. The pulled it on the trailer with another dodge diesel.

Paul (Kimber) was there to lend his help and truck. That low gear in his 6spd was just plain awesome. We had a tow strap going from receiver to receiver. He just idled the truck up on the trailer. It was quite an impressive display. At one point though, he was in the grass and wasn't getting traction. He locked his in 4lo and started pulling again. I was sitting in the truck being pulled (mine) and started to feel it getting dragged off the trailer sideways. Paul couldn't tell what was going on from his vantage point. Feger and Dave yelled to get him to stop just in the nick of time. Half the rear tire was off the trailer. It was bad bad mojo for sure.

And yeah, the trailer towed awesome even with the truck backwards. We rolled on at 80mph from M'boro to dickson and it felt like there was nothing behind us. No bobbing, no weaving, nothing. It did great. He designed that trailer himslef, and evidently it paid off. It's a great one.

Notes of Loading a Disabled Truck

#1----Make sure to have plenty of help (pushers).

#2----Once you figger out it's a heavy summich, get the tow strap out.

#3----A Cummins powered truck can pull another truck backwards up onto a trailer at idle.

#4----If said pulling truck starts to spin in gravel, just engage the 4WD.

#5----When pulling onto a trailer at an angle, it is very likely to pull it a little sideways.

#6----Nylon tow straps stretch, and then contract a little after the load starts moving.

#7----When going to the other side to correct the sideways pull (#5), do not put in 4WD Lo

#8----4WD Lo... . Ya can't feel any load behind truck.

#9---- The cleaner the trailer, the slicker the deck.

#10----Men can scream.

#11----One half of a tire can suspend a truck.

Dammit that's a GOOD LOOKIN TRUCK! :-laf

Hey did you check for birds lodged into the stacks from towing it backwards?

Cummins trucks do more work at idle than most do at top RPM. I don't know how many stumps I've pulled and never had to "gas" it.

The trick for pulling one up is to pull the chain/strap through the front of the trailer--but the trailer needs to be heavy enough to handle it.

Rollers off a wasted winch come to mind.

P-pumps rule. My LP went TU (titsup-think dead mammal) yesterday. Or it's the sender. Must check.

MARK--I'VE GOT THE STUFF.

Your timing kit? Great..... its even farther away now. :{ :-laf

Oh well won't have time to do it anytime soon anyways. Hey guys might have a surprise in store for you soon. We'll see.

Hey Andy..... do you need to call me? ;) :-laf

:) The only thing funnier than that story would have been how ya'll would have gotten it back on the trailer if it had rolled off the edge!! LOL Andy, that really is a NICE looking truck, you done good. Mark, I"ll call D tomorrow to see about it all and we will just hope it works itself out.

Joe, what time are you all going to meet up at your shop next Saturday? It might work out that I can come out there and hang out for a while and then just follow you all to the pull. Let me know man.

Call the cell and let me know Shay. Have no idea where I will be tomorrow, was supposed to go to BG and put injectors in a 12V for one of my KYDTR buddies. He went farther north to get his dual disk put in this weekend though. :-laf You know the drill if I don't answer, I'll call back. :-laf

Yeah Joe/Gap/whoever... ..... let us know what time your gonna leave the shop. Would be AWSOME to caravan down. Oo.

I thought y'all would be at Squaretire's shop today... under your truck

We were (Me, Joe Squaretire, Gap, and Feger)! We didn't get started till about 5'ish... We had one problem after another. Couldn't bail the hay, had to drain 90% water/10% fuel from the tractor we were going to use to push the truck in the shop (Gap was blowing on the filler neck forcing fuel out the crappy separator apparatus). Yada yada...

That input shaft was B-R-O-K-E!!!!!! See pics. I'll get some better ones soon.

Regarding the pic of the shaft sleeve and the buttox... . well, I'll let you guess who that was.

But here's the best part. That clutch looks BRAND SPANKIN NEW! Nobody seemed to think it was even broken in yet. That bodes well for me being able to sell it and get a decent price.

That was a pretty funny top 10 list too paul. :D !!
