Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

I'm going to throw the stacks and my gauges (+pod) in the classifieds in a couple of days. As always, you guys get first shot and best deal.

Andy,

Don't let me lead you to believe that I'm some kind of expert. I'm far from it. I was just trying to throw in my $. 02 worth of opinion. I can probably get together with you Saturday better than Sunday. Call me, 218-8590.

Scott

Nah, I was thinking from more of a "does mine act like yours" kinda thing, than an expert opinion. Plus it's a good opportunity to socialize the trucks. :D

I'll give you a shout. Saturday may be out, Chase (my little boy) turns a year old and we're of course having a b-day party. I don't expect the drive to take long, but my wife would certainly frown on my leaving the house at any time on Saturday. (probably rightfully so).

If nothing else, I'll bring it by the shop one day next week or something. I've been trying to hook up with Paul to give him some stuff anyway. If that's okay of course.

I could come to your place Saturday. It would give me and my boy a chance to get out. Let me know what time would be best and some directions. As far as coming by the shop, I have an office at the Myatt Drive (Rivergate) location now.

It ain't no big deal, anytime, anywhere, just let me know.

Scott

4. 10 gears huh.

So---take off in 3rd. :p

Or check the AFC function. Sounds like you're not getting enough boost to defeat the spring in 2nd. Probably doesn't have the AFC spring kit. Or has a leak.

B/c I'm going to either do 6" miter's or Duals out the back (MBRP).

I started the clean-up last night. It's going to take some major elbow grease, but she sure has serious potential.

Saw a set of 10" bullhaulers that necked down to 5" this week at SEMA. Impressive! Won't be long before a redneck has them on his truck.

Well it's going to have to be a pretty rich redneck. I was quoted $3600 PER SIDE when I called Dynaflex about them. We were wanting to put 'em on a buddy's truck. They only fit Peterbilt too as far as I know.

By the way, the Isuzu is finally on the road! I've still got the interior to go but at least it's drivable now.

Whoo hooo! Is it fun to drive?

Yeah, it's great to knock around in. Much easier to get around. I don't know how it would be on a long trip though. You've kinda got to sit straight up in the seat so they're not very comfortable. I'm working on that though.

I'm probably gonna put a little stack on it in the future and get some wheels that have some style to them. It still needs good chrome front and rear bumpers - both of which have apparently been discontinued so it's up to me to find a decent used one, which won't be easy.

What kind of mileage does it get? Did they make 4wd ones?

Anybody got any experience with Diesel scout? MPG? reliability? always wanted one after having my 64 Scout 800. Fun little ride too. Had the ol aftermarket toggle switch headlights, coil and push button starter! ONly had about a 180 degree play in the steering. It was real fun wound out at 55 mph down an old road. Clean the ditches both sides of the road every other 100ft... .

It should get 40 MPG or better with good driving habits. Most report between 40-45 MPG with the 2WD 5-speeds. I just filled it up Friday and recorded the odometer reading so I'll check it the next time I fill up.

Yeah, they made 4WD ones. They were pretty tough from what I understand. I've got a buddy that's building one right now (out of 2 or 3 trucks). All of the 4WD models I've seen came with 4-speeds and topped out around 60MPH. Mine's got the 5-speed and it will do 70 no problem.

I hope you get 40. Mine averaged @ 30 mpg, best was @ 35 mpg.

The stack ought to be cool, they smoke pretty good under load!

It actually was a friend of joe's that drives a PSD Ford. Said his truck for some reason just makes more power when it goes by joe's(dodge) that the letters just flew off!

Ford guy just called, Said I thought Diesel trucks are supposed to be either steers or queers? Is that why Joe is selling BRA's cause he drives a dodge? So which one has the "brass ones"?

and

"My PSD regularly feeds on "goats" as a "alternative fuel" when diesel prices soar. My PSD was hungry for a snack when it saw Joe's Dodge. "

So Scott you had one of these little trucks? What year was yours? transmission? 2WD or 4WD? Long bed?

I'll probably turn the fuel up just enough on mine so that it doesn't just black smoke all the time. It should be pretty cool to see some smoke coming out that stack. :D
