Ugh. I thought I did pretty good research on it before I plopped down the cash. I have a pretty severe ammount of play in the output shaft of my steering box. I'm hoping that the DSS will straigten it out. We'll see I guess.



I'll post results if I can stop going to bed at eight o'clock and get it put on one night.

Don’t get your hopes up on the DSS curing your wandering. That is the first thing I did to try to tighten up my steering and I could not tell any difference once I got it on there. I agree with Hans, it is more of a preventative maintenance for a new box than anything. Not bashing it as it is a quality component, just not a cure all for the wandering ailment. I made the most gains with a PSC steering box. It is a very high quality steering box and do not regret the money that I spent on it. I probably dropped a grand on curing my wander and it did make a difference. Of course, if it had been designed properly in the first place, I could have spent the money on a new turbo. Thank you DC!!!!!



So, I would not get in any rush to get the DSS on. If you can wait, put a new steering box and the DSS on at the same time. You can ask Meacham about the PSC steering box as he is the one that installed it for me.



I am pleased with the way my truck steers now. Although, it is starting to loosen up now but it is nowhere near as bad as it was when I first got it.



You still interested in some 02 alloys? Dieselnutz, you still want to buy them. If not, Andy, they are available.

any date is fine, come one come all,,, however this will be a meet and greet and parade. lets hold down on the shop work so i can see everyone and there trucks. i don't want to get stuck at the shop until late putting in gauges again.



we have another FOR SALE item.....

it is a 04. 5 dodge diesel with billet transmission and DPP stickers all over it.

it will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the meet.

i think he needs the money for a house and a ring. .

The only think I'd like to do at the meeting is flash my truck with Steve's smarty so I can have the high idle update.



Dude, you could charge 10 bucks a pop to update peoples truck and make some of your purchase back. I'd gladly pay $10 or so to get the high idle flash. Ol girl is COLD in the mornings.

Ashley some friends of mine have a 96 2500 Ext. Cab Long bed for sale over in Castalion Springs. Its parked next to the "Stagecoach" 76 Station on Hwy 25.

I took a buddy to see it and he bought it. His wife liked it because of the red paint and auto trans. The truck was in decent shape except for the tires.

Man I went out to see Anthony today at Kile International. They had the new International ProStar on display with a bunch of Intl reps. That's one SLICK Mo-Fo. We got to crawl all over the truck and eng compartment. The transmission is a manual, but is computer controlled like an automatic. International guys were cool too. They made us (me and a co-worker) take a hat and some swag.



Also got to crawl around that CXT again. Nifty "little" booger too.
