Joe, you gonna drag race this year? I figured Barry would. I think there's gonna be a LOT more trucks this year. Wonder how the carry-over into the pull is gonna be this year? What time is the pull supposed to start? And another question, what's the "2. 5" and "2. 8" classes? Some new designation?

I'll be there. Even thought about racing with my little 300 horses, but I think I'll pass till I make a couple passes at the local strip to get my feet wet.

who did I see this evening on West End around the 440? Red 3rd Gen quad cab, with "Mind if I Smoke?" in the back window, and an Underwood Tire graphic. Truck looked familiar from the get together out in Lebanon this Spring. I think I enjoyed the smoke show more than the people behind you. Nice looking/sounding truck, my fiancee was amused by our little exchange of revving and smoking.

We are planning on being there if the weather holds. We were there last sunday for the Chrysler Classic. We watched one of the T. S. trucks grenade his big turbo and saw the Shied rail run a 7. 34. They were sorting things out for this coming weekend. Randy

Lets get em posted up here guys, since I didnt get to make it. Glad to hear the BEAST made its first passes and sorry to hear about the flex plate. What about you Joe, Barry, Kerry, Lebanon gang, Bean's Crew,,. Lets hear those et's and ft' pulled!!

Had a great time at the race track. Great weather,Joe did really well. I cant say enough about Brad,He drove Nail-it to a time of 12. 6 something. I've herd he was good, but thats way beyond good. Meachum was great,that thing was WILD. I think the high lite was when Meachum stopped by to visit us at the pull,he had a smile on his face that could'nt be wiped off. He was so glad to be back in the racing seat, and it showed all over him. Glad to see Scott , and Anthony too.

I didn't want to talk about the pull,but i'm about over it now. Right now i'm sitting here making a list of what to do, just before i hook to the sled. like engage 4x4 low , turn on tow haul ,ENGAGE FRONT LOCKERS !!!! I'm going to tape it on the dash, where i can't miss it. I've noticed some of the other pullers had a list. now i know why.

I had a great time. Long day and into the next morning. Glad to see Mecham and the BEAST running. That truck is AWSOME. Good to see Barry and the DMAX running strong. Glad I got to see Brad, Mecham and his bunch, others I sure I'm forgetting.



Also had the chance to visit with Van Haisley again.



Joe and Scott, Thanks again.

It was fun. Got to see lots of wild and amazing things. Yesterday was a blur though after getting in the bed a few minutes after 4:00 and up again at 7:00. Always good to spend time with Joe and Anthony and it was good to see everybody else, too.



Meachum's BEAST is just BAD, nothing more to say.



Joe ended up running a 12. 7 and pulling 320' WITH A BAD INJECTOR.



Brad did make that red Chebby look good on the strip. Barry, are you saying you made that pull in 2WD? That's pretty dang good.



I was disappointed Bean wasn't there with his truck, although I did see him there.

No Scott, I had it in 4 wheel drive. I'm just not sure i had all the buttons pushed,and switches flipped . it gets a little busy just before i hook up. I know if i have a list hopefully i will not forget something. 313 ft i guess i expected more. looks like i've got to spend some more money.

well, congrats guys, those are some awesome times and good pulls. I hate I didnt make it, but kerry gave me a card full of video's and pics. Oh yeah, I talked with a guy at Bean's shop today and he said he had injector problems as well and he didnt pull.

awesome pull Joe, Bad injector, wow !!! what ever you did to your truck this spring IT WORKED Good job. After looking my truck over the last couple of days, Can't find anything wrong, No excuses . I just need more H. P. see ya next time.

Dodge \ Sterling

I just saw a Dodge truck (Cab and Chassis) with Sterling badging all over it.

I just saw a Dodge truck (Cab and Chassis) with Sterling badging all over it.

Called the Sterling Bullet. Mid-Tenn Ford's got 'em. Looks just like the Dodge except for the grille. On their radio commercial the announcer calls it a "Cummings". :-laf

yep, you can buy a "Sterling 4500-5500" at big truck dealers now. I am not sure who the owner is but I know that DC, Sterling, Western Star, and I think Freightliner as well are under the same umbrella. Not positive but if the might cummins ever slips away from Dodge, our trucks will probably have a meceredes benz diesel as it is usually the standard motor for these brand trucks.

Oh yeah, I dont know if yall have seen it or not, but Kerry brought me back a video that TS made of last years drags and pulls and lots of our guys made the film cut. Joe was the first puller on the sled portion, it also had Barry's pull, Jonathan Thompson from Leb. and Chis Newsom from CCD on there as well, and maybe some others as I didnt finish it yet. Turned out to be a great video!

not as long as there's a pump shop to rebuild my p7100's! I've got 30 years until my trucks are as old as 55-57 chubbies. :-laf
