Went and pick my daughter up this morning, parked the truck in its normal spot. My wife came home and asked what happened? Went outside and this is what I found. #@$%!
Great job to everyone at the Springfield pull last night. Had a good time out there. Only one problem though, my wallet probably won't like some of the ideas I've got running through my head now! I've got video of the pulls from the unlimited class. If you guys would like to see them let me know and I can put them up here if you'd like. Talked to JPulliam for a while before he pulled. Was good to meet you.
Burned up a little bit now from walking around the Goodguys show downtown all day but hopefully this rain holds off tonight and I'll probably head back up to Springfield for the pull tonight there.
Anthony, MAN, if it weren't for bad luck... ... ... ... ... ...
I guess your just going to have to quit going to pulls. Looks like the bumper took it all. Any damage to the tailgate? I'm guessing it rolled and hit the tree and the radio popped out from the sudden stop??? Do you think you left it out of gear or did the parking brake pop off on you? Good thing the airbag didn't deploy.
I'm still trying to figure out what happened. Pulled in the drive and parked it like I always do. When I got in it to move away from the tree, the parking brake was not set. I must have not had it completely in gear and the parking brake let go or I just didn't set it.
The radio did come out when it hit the tree. Knocked the tool box off the side of the bed and into the floor of the bed.
Yes, there is damage to the tailgate.
Parking brake appears to be working. I rocked the truck as hard as I could after setting the brake and all is holding.
Your right Scott, seems like bad things happen after going to pulls. No one was injured and parts can be replaced. I'm just happy thats all that happend. It could have side swiped it and damaged the whole side if it were foot or two over a little more.
Enjoyed seeing everyone last night. Dad seemed to have a good time. It would have been better if Joe and Barry would have gotten to pull more than once.
That sucks Anthony. That is about my luck. I dont know the area that it rolled around in but I think it could have been worse so you might have been lucky that it didnt roll into another vehicle of yours. Nothing would make me more sick than to come out and see that though. I know joe has the parts laying around to fix it though. It was good seeing you, scott and everyone else at the pull last friday night.
Congrats Joe on the big win Saturday night. Sounds like it was a good time!!
Anthony, I hate that happened to your truck. Mine rolled down a city street a couple of years ago, when over 100ft and crossed the road and of course hit the only car parked on the whole road. Didnt do much to my truck, but man did it screw up that plastic car!!
I am gone a few days and the place falls apart. On a better note, we took barrys truck to clarksville raceway last night for some testing. End up running a 7. 99 with the truck screaming hot. Maybe we can finish getting it dialed in for the upcoming pulls.
Didnt get blowed up here, but as i have tried to go to sleep every night this week, I wonder,,, is this what it sounds like in Iraq?? Hope everyone had a great 4th!!!!
Congrats to Meacham and the BEAST for a "5" page write-up in Diesel Power magazine this month. I know it was alot of hard work put into the finished product, and by looking at it and seeing it run, I'm sure no one will disagree that it was all worth it.
Not too sure about the name "Franken Cummins" though. The BEAST sounds better.
Hey Joe, Killer's picture made it also. Not too sure about the two funny looking guys standing next to you. :-laf
Know how that feels Anthony. Difference is I heard mine hit. Didn't get any photos, but it was $6000 in damages. And I still need a fan/fan hub or electric fan.
I'm double cautious parking the dang thing now. I really like wheel chocks.
Anybody have any good, used 12V injectors laying around? I'd rather have 215's or better, but no 370's. Let me know what you've got and how much you want for them.

I'd call Dixie in Columbia if you can't find used. They overhaul them and keep an inventory... and they have a 370ish one that I'm running in the Red truck.
Just wondering if there are any pulls around the area this weekend or anything else going on? No shows for me this weekend so I'm home and its the last weekend off for me for a few months so just wondering if there's anything going on.
Next Thursday @ Shelbyville, TN. Bedford Co. Fair Grounds Starts at 7 pm. Top 3 get money, winner get $250. Hope some of yall get to come pull! Maybe this will stir up some talk, since it is so quiet around here!
Just saw a thread over on CD about a pull tomorrow night, the 18th, in Munfordville, Ky. Isn't that where they had the benefit pull last year where they were running 2 sleds?
any one going to Chapel Hill this weekend to watch the big boys pull??
Scott, did you find any injectors. While looking for some sticks for my project, I ran across Pensacola Diesel, they have some inj. compareable to Bosch 300 shipped to the house for $210. Seemed to be pretty nice guys when I talked with them.
