Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

and I mightta went to Columbia or Shelbyville pulls if'n anybody had mentioned them ON HERE BEFORE THEY HAPPENED.

Wut up Slapster?

Speaking of Dickson County/City (nice how they ran outta names huh), the bike trails at Monkey Bell SP are great. They're not in the park they're across the highway - Ranger Ricky Bobby will tell you how to find 'em. They're mountain bike trails not a paved greenway path. Tell anybody you see with a fat-tired bike to check 'em out. Four different levels of difficulty and some really fun stuff on the top level--but it's fun on all levels and berry berry good fer you.

Trucks--yeah need fan hub/ac charge, lift pump, differential, bodywork, charging, testing/tags and such.

yeah, I was next in line to hook and they called it! Been there all night and now with dripping drawers and still, no hook. ARGH!!!

Glad to hear Meacham is making progress. I don't see how guys like him stick it out sometimes, but that is what makes them so great. They really have a passion for it. All the blood, sweat, money and tears, for "One more round"! Meacham, our official old guy :D bahahaha

Me and Bean gonna have to work out some deal. He gets all the good hooks and the BIG trophies. I suck hind quarters and get to stack weights... Something is wrong with this deal? Gotta love the Bean.

Wade, All that torque and you want to pedal? I just don't get it. It has a way of messing up my masculine body. I've invested alot in this carcass.

I reckon we'll be at Waverly, TN on the 18th. It's there second year. Should be a good mess of trucks.

Joe was killing me. "Hey ya'll watch this. . nevermind" "Okay one more time, I'm angry this time, I'm ready... " "Nevermind" I was rolling up there to hook thinking I am gonna smoke him!!! (nevermind) He forgot his alphabet, H comes before L :D

Barry, The one legger, the UNO, make'n her scream. Old Maxi was turning some Rs. Tell us the truth, you just wanted the smoke to go higher didn't you? ;) The big long red rascal, just erks me sometimes. Duramax's just ain't supposed to act like that you know!! I was at Cheatham Dam the other day and thought I saw Barry going through the locks, but it wasn't him. Draw four...

Waverly? ain't that in Arkansas?!

You keep Joe and Barry outta trouble. ;)

There's a pull in KY somewhere near Bowling Green tonight. Joe is up there by now. I found out when Joe called me.

And Fayetteville.

Yall hook hard and don't break nuthin'. :D

My tank is full enough--so I don't look. Plenty to do for two weeks easy. Letting the Green one idle right now... purrs so nice. I'll fix it here in a day or two. And I bushhogged for about 4 hours today--didn't move the fuel gauge on that sipper of a 2-cylinder air-cooled diesel Deutz !

HEY JOE!

What happened in KY? Aren't you back to work yet? Tires schmires, get to posting.

GORGEOUS WEATHER!!!

SPOOL THEM CHARGERS!

well 4 of us full pulled so we went to the pulloff. we had a full pull in the pulloff and took the class. i had alot of fun with those ky. boys, they are supper nice and helped me out alot. thanks

Joe

Congrattlelations Joester!

in case anybody missed it--anyday is dyno day at Bean's now.

SO I noticed a distinct loss of boost a few days ago. And a rickytickyticky sometimes tickytackytocky up there unner the hood. After some discussion with other dieseldorki and finally analysis by the calibrated auditory devices located on the sides of Corn's head, it was determined that my lift pump was making the noise. So I called up Dixie Diesel and had a lift pump delivered--great news is that they're only $100 now. Bad news is that it was cobbled together by some cross-eyed 8-year old communist child on the other side of the planet. #@$%!

I put it in anyway. Would be nice if the DS fender would come off real easy.

No improvement except that rickyticky left.

Today I put in a fuel filter with a quite a bit of apprehension as to what else might be causing the low fuel issue...

BINGO!Oo.

skeeters be gone and back to mid 40's manifold pressure. :-laf;):D

whutup fer you?

Buddy of mine in Columbia is running homebrew b100 in his 4BT converted Wagoneer. Reporting excellent starting, economy, and no line at his bucket. :-laf

I offered him $3 a gallon for the stuff yesterday, but he only had 3 gallons ready.

Why are there lines at the pumps? and baggies all over? Is this the end of the world--again?!

The companies are just flexing their muscles--showing the govt how they can induce panic and "shortage" any time they want to. Price controls reduce their incentive to keep the juice flowing. That looks like the point they were making this time.

It was crazy here in Nashville Friday. If a station had gas, it had long lines. I saw one station with guards directing traffic and they were lined up out on the interstate at Trinity Lane trying to get to the Pilot station 1/4 mile off the interstate. Lots of stations in Springfield ran out of gas, too, which made it easy to buy diesel.

I got a set of DD3's from The Slapper to try in my truck since my 300K mile 215's were in sad shape. We were worried they'd be too smokey and hot to run with my stock turbo but they aren't as smokey or as hot as the clapped out 215's. They're very clean unless you really get on it. No idle haze and good smooth idle especially as compared to the loping idle I had. Only problem is they've turned my poor old Con-O into a slipper clutch! I can slip it at will. I slid the plate back about 1/8th inch last night. Seemed to be better this morning but I don't want to slip it any more than I have to. Looks like I'll be putt-putting around till I can afford a clutch.

When's the next pull?

We went to Knoxville this weekend to see the Vols get a butt whipping, and gas was in short supply there as well, but nothing like the lines in Mboro when we left.

Good to hear that you like those DD3's Scott. I have been studying on which injectors I want to put in my old dodge project. I am open to all suggestions so lets hear em!! From what I read, DD are real good just hard on the budget! Those 370's are awful cheap, but I know that the spray pattern isnt right. So tell me what yall think?

I'm very impressed with these DD3's. They are very "efficient", no smoke until you get on it, no haze at idle, cooler EGT's and lots less smoke than the tired 215's, and LOTS of power. From what I was able to find researching here on TDR, they are equivalent in power to the 370's, just much cleaner. I'll know later this week what kind of mileage I'll get with them. Diesel Dynamics has become Edge now. I don't know if they still offer them. I saw a set for sale on DTR for $375.

... and the DDP (Dynamite Diesel Performance) Stage 4s we have in Ol Smokey now are even more efficient and cleaner. They are EDM vs extrude honed like the DD3s. I don't know how they compare to current injectors today, but they do fuel more and smoke less than the DD3s. I think that even the DDP stage 4s are small in today's standards...

The angle is of spray is controlled with the EDM burning the hole at a precise angle vs extrude honing blowing the hole bigger. All depends on what degree timing your running and the amount of fuel your squirt'n, and the bowl in the piston that will contribute to the smoke coming out or not on the other end.

I heard something that was funny the other day at the waverly pull. Had a guy come up and say "your that guy with the white truck huh?" "You were diesel, when diesel wasn't cool! You was blowing smoke years ago". I said "I'm old school... dawg!"

I figured that the more I spend on injectors the better off Ill be. Seems to keep with the ole saying, you get what you pay for. While yall are reading , I ll throw out some more questions.

My pump says 175, so what type of mods should I be looking at pump wise to get in the 400-425 range. I was planning on 3 GSK, and probably 10 plate and maybe some 181 or 191 DV's. Will I need to have the pump on the rack to acheive my goal(with bigger turbo of course). Or will the the pump in stock form with these mods flow enough. I know there is no sub for CC's but I was just throwing it out there??

I kinda forgot what I made with a 160pump and #4 and 370's at 16*--with B1-2 charger. Seems like 4xx. Mebbe I'll find the paperwork--but then I'm not sure when I changed pumps. The 215 pump is internally superior.

With a 175pump-my RX: 3k gov springs, 16-18* timing, #6 or so plate, 370's or such, bigger blower. And change the bleepin fuel filter. ;) All that can be done without pulling pump. Oh, and methinks I put 181dv's in.
