It'll be a cold day in hell before I put a damn 102" whip on my dodge! :-laf

I had one on my first truck (93 Toyota) and lived with it for a while. Yeah they can't be beaten sitting still, but going down the road is another thing.

I hardly EVER use my CB anymore, in fact I'm trying to sell one of my modified CB's right now and put my less modified one in because its just $$ sitting there.

'Bout the only time I use a CB anymore is when I run the interstate going to truck pulls. So the 4ft stick would work ok for me Wade.

I'll keep the HAM thing in mind later this summer when I have extra $$ to play with. ;)

Love them pullers!! I got a 102" whip on mine now. It'll make you talk more. I was the same way mark, didn't talk much with my little 4ft fiberglass. Thats because you can't talk much. The whip really improves your ears and your distance to talk. CB really makes a good radar detector and traffic reporter. I use mine more now... get sick of all the FM radio commercials, no music, or just crap anyway. That whip will take a beating. Tree limb killer. I have already got that mandatory bend about 6" down from the top :).

Mark; Get a Francis 5 X 5, fiberglas about 5ft. , 5in. long. Available in Red or Black. Many truckers including myself have used them for years and have found they do as good or better job than most anything available for the price. (Unless you run a 'Kicker' over 400 watts. ) Think I gave around $12 - $13 for the last one I got.

I think I have an extra one and will bring it with me to the meet Sat. See you then. :D

Well I had it all set for my local CB shop guy to buy my mag. antenna for what I gave for it last year, but when I got to looking at my stacks in line with my toolbox I think the heat from the exhaust would damage a fiberglass stick if I put it on one side or the other.

I might possible be going stackless again in the next couple of months... ... still under debate... ..... but if I do then I'll be getting a Wilson 4ft or 5ft fiberglass stick that's tuneable.

I have a Uniden Grant XL 40channel CB with sideband for sale if anyones interested. Puts out in the high 40 watt's range. PM me if interested.

I'm all for the possibility of a Summertown meeting at "Wheeling in the Country" later this year..... especially after seeing what the placed looked like this morning on TRUCKS! TV.

Anybody got a 20ft gooseneck I can use!?!?

Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. :-laf

Question guys,

How hard are injectors to install, and any special tools needed? About how much time needed?

I will be getting DD II's (and 4" exhaust) to install before the transmission build and wanted to know if someone would or could help.

Thanks everyone. I have no experience, as this is my first diesel and want to boost its performance. I need a towing monster and hope this is the right direction to go!

24v injectors--piece of cake, once you get the hang of prying the crossover tubes back. There's a file floating around here somewhere. If you buy from DD, you'll get a good set of install instructions.

Ran into a new local TDR member last night at Home Depot in the 'Boro. His name is Eric and works at the Depot. He has a 2001 2500 HO. Wade, you left a flyer on his truck about our first meeting last year. So, he has your contact information and you will probably hear from him in the near future.

He sounded like he was ready to do some Bombing, but like the rest of us, a little short on $$$$$.

I am still here too. Just busy as usual... changing jobs at work, going to a real job (Mon-Fri). Getting real sick of being limited on horsepower due to my slush box. I can't swing the $4,000+ preventive maintenance required for an automatic. That'd be a whole lot of horsepower and clutch on a manual. Really debating just selling mine. I just dont' know if I can get out of it what I owe on it :(. Hungry for a 4x4 Manual!! Watching nick and them other boys just makes it worse!

I would be interested if I could sell mine. I've been checking around. I need to get $16K outta mine. I think that'll be hard for mine with 139,000 miles. But, I'd sell it for that with the comp and gauges.
