Archived mil light on

okay last week pressure wash truck while running check egine light came on. 0500 and 1693 thought i got something wet . put it in the barn and dried it off under the hood. started it afew times and light went out. winter here so was probaly spinning the tires . this morning went to get in the truck(remote and timer start installed on the truck) and light was back on. truck runs fine run about 140 miles a day. was warmer in barn than outside and i usually run it with the door closed till i get ready to leave. had the high idel feature turned on a coupel of years ago and no problems with this starting routine. would the 0500 code make the check light come on? only other thing done recently was oil change and drain fuel filter but that was 2 weeks before any ideas/

This is for 96 to 01 trucks

1693= DTC detected in ECM or DCM

500= No vechicle speed sensor signal

I would think that the code 500 would make your "check engine light" to come on.
