mileage changed?

Looking to buy a used 03 to 07.5 and one truck I called on (04) had 97,000 miles.Pulled the carfax,showed 251,000 at last service-can the mileage be changed on these newer trucks?

Yep. Different cluster and the mileage was not reset. Speedometer shops can set mileage to whatever value. As long as someone has the right tools anything is possible.

I'd want to stay with a 5.9 or about a 3 year later after '07.5, 6.7.
I couldn't be any happier than I am with my early '07, 5.9

Your best choice IMO is an '03-'04 with the 305 engine or a brand new one.

Ended up buying an 04.5,177,000 miles so now starts the up grades-starting with BBI injectors.smarty Jr.,Fass and gauges.
