On my second tank of fuel I got 17. 1. This was hand calculation as they say. This was mostly on the highway but some in town as well.

My SRW 3500 Mega cab with an automatic and 3. 73 gears is up to about 16-17mpg on mostly slower 2 lane highway. This is with 12k miles on it. It started out closer to 14 mpg and has been slowly improving. My 2005 (identical powertrain) QC LB was running 17-18 after 30k miles and I expect that is about as good as it gets. I run Amsoil in the diffs and t-case as well as in the engine. Seems to contribute some to the milage.

In mixed driving, mostly "rural" (some stoplights, 50 mph avg speed limit) I'm getting between 16-17 MPG (hand calc) on my 2006. 2400 miles right now on the odo. 6-sp G56, 4x4, QC LB. TST spends most of it's time on setting 1/0 but I have had it on 3/3 a few times for grins.

I've got 5000 miles on the odo and all mileage is hand calculated and adjusted for the for the larger tires. The highway mileage is at 70-75mph and the city is well... ... ... ... Houston!!! I for one was hoping for better mileage... . people keep telling me to wait until it's broken in before getting discouraged. So, I've taken out a second loan for diesel purchases :) :) :) :) However, the truck is awesome!!!!!!!!!

Highway: Consistently 14-15

City: Consistently 11. 5-12. 5

My new 06 (3500 SRW) is showing 13. 4 on the overhead right now as a bone stock truck. 150 miles on the ticker. I figure I've got nowhere to go but up :)

I'm LOL... ... Funny you should ask... ... I posted a very long, non-enter key rant several months ago when my truck was less then 5 days old and I hooked up to a load and ended up on a tow truck :) :) :) I pull approx. 12,000-15,000 lbs 2-3 times a month over a 15 mile distance... nothing exciting but pulling nontheless.

I'm only kidding around when say that i've taken out additional loans for diesel:) :) My opinion is that if you can afford to own one of these trucks then you should be able to afford the fuel. The really funny thing is that I work for a major oil company and complain as loud as anyone regarding diesel prices!!!!! I still think the truck is AWESOME!!

I am interested in finding out the fuel mileage on 06 3500's from the members. I will be purchasing a new truck soon.

I've got 58 miles and it's reading about 14. 5 on the overhead. .

About 35 miles freeway and 20 stop and go. Oo. :-laf

Love the truck so far. Still trying to figure out how to work everything.

Need to install wheel well liners and running boards, not to mention gauges.

Thanks everyone the information is helpful. I've been looking at a 06 quad cab, long bed with 3. 73 gears. I'm curious if the same holds true for Calif. trucks.

D. Brown, West Sacramento, Ca

98. 5CTD, Auto meter boost, transmission temp, and egt gauges. BD transmission upgrade, edge, and banks 4" exhaust.

I don't think there is much if any difference between CA and the rest of us... . as far as the trucks go anyway :-laf

To those with brand new trucks, mine also started out at 13-14. I also puposely towed max gvw over a mtn pass a few times to speed break in. Now with 12k miles I am getting better milage and hoping for a bit more yet.

I've got around 6000 miles on mine so far and I am getting around 14. 5 on combined city and highway driving. It is a 2006 QC G56 dually. They tell me it will just get better till 20000 miles but we'll see. I love the truck though.

Nothing better than a NEW truck... . is there. ;)

I am still waiting to get 14mpg and I am not a lead foot. The truck has 80K on it. I purchased it with 75K and have been dissapointed in mileage. There sure seems to be a wide range with no apparant differences. If somebody has advice on what to check into I would certainly do it.

I thought my signature would show, I have an 03 2500 quad cab 4wd, 6 speed long bed. I put the Banks six gun w/ speed loader and 4" exhaust but keep it on stock setting 99% of the time.

06 3500 QC G56 3. 73 4x4 I'm getting about 16. 5 hand calc avg for 30% city 70% 75mph+ Hiway. I always take a little time to fill it up until the foam reaches the neck of the filler, them a few more top offs. The overhead consitanly reads about 1-1. 5 mpg less than habd calc. There is 6000 miles on the truck. I have a westach dual guage and a AFE Stage 2. Otherwise its stock. Delo 400 and fleetguard stratopore. I've noticed milage dropping off at anything over 70mph, so I try to stay under 75-80mph..... but time is money! I have not towed anything heavy yet. Also, I run run am running winter treated fuel as I'm in the Northeast. I also treat my fuel at fillup with Powerservice white bottle per directions.

Something doesn't sound right about that. I had a stock '03 QC SB 4x4 3. 73 automatic that was getting low 20's easy with 75k miles on it. Even towing a car to the drag strip on an open trailer at 70-75 mph I was getting 15-16.
