With the recent surge of fuel prices and my unfortunate addiction to power I'm looking to kill two birds with one stone. I want to upgrade the injectors on my 01 HO and as every injector manufacturer claims mileage gains I would like some real world experiance. My truck currently get 15. 5 - 16. 5 no matter what kind of driving unless loaded. There are a lot of differences in all the trucks and hearing the guys with two wheelers say "I get 20+ uphill in a head wind" gets old.

So if you've got a 4x4 with 4. 10's and aftermarket injectors what kind of mileage are you seeing? I hope it's better, this is the only way I can talk the old lady into this #ad

I haven't got a set of injectors YET, but have been talking to don m about the mach 1. 6's. I have the 4x4 w/4. 10's and currently average about 17. 5 out of a weeks tank with my mods. I own a lawn service and tow daily. The average gain is 1-2mpg and they claim the 1. 6's are a very mileage friendly stick. Sorry I can't offer a "seasoned" opinion yet, but will keep my eyes on this thread for others experiences :) Good luck!

I run 110 miles a day on the freeway running 65-67mph and I get 18-18. 5. Also I have 215's for tires (small) which keeps the rpms up and the boost around 7-8psi. The truck also has a shell on it and lumber rack. The truck usually has around 400-500 lbs of stuff in the back.

I have the 6 speed with 4. 10 gears. look at my sig for mods. Overhead display says 25. 2 MPG driving with cruise set @ 65 MPH. Pencil numbers are 24. 4 MPG

I have a 5 speed running 35's with Bosch 275's and get a return of 18. 5 -20. 0 on avg. I usually run close to 600 miles a week with 85% hiway miles . With the speedo corrected my overhead says 22. 5 - 23. 5

I have a 2000 4x4 w 4. 10's and 285/75 tires 4" exhaust and BHAF Filter. WhenI use the Hypertech stage 3 download I was able to achieve 22mpg highway and combined city /highway arount 17-18mpg. I have had to go back to my stock program due to TC shudder w/the Hypertech and now I only average about 18-19 Highway and around 15-16 Combined MPG.

Best ever was 23. 5 mpg hand calculated running 60mph from IL to Muncie. This was with a Comp box and a Dr. Performance stage 3 kit and 265's at the time. The return trip yielded 21 mpg running 70mph.

I managed one tank just barely breaking the 20mpg mark with my Mach 6 injectors and 315's and 3" lift.

I do not have injectors yet, but put a superchips D-box( Edge EZ rebadge ) on my truck, AFE STage 1, and adjustable boost elbow and my mileage has increased 1 mpg to 18 mpg hand calculated. I probably would see better if my right foot would start behaving. :)

No mods on mine and I just drove from NY to CA. At a steady 65, I got 17. At 70+, it dropped to 15+...

Looking at taller tires, Smarty, and even a gear swap... these prices aren't going down anytime soon.

i have 275's. i dont get but 12-15mpg. with the superchips on and towing around 5k, i got 14. 5mpg coming back from indianapolis. i would like to swap someone some 3. 54's for my 4. 10's. i could definately use more mileage.

With the Mods I have in my signature I run right around 18-19 depending on speed 65-70. Faster and it does tend to go down. Saw about 3 mpg with the comp and Dons 1. 6 injectors. I run the comp on level 2 most all the time. If I had it to do again the edge ez would have been fine for me. I have a 65 gal fuel tank and a cross bed tool box in the truck all the time W/ a headache rack even with the cab.

Just like you, 15 1/2 to 16 1/2. Doesn't ever seem to change no matter what different mods are put in. I think it's just the luck of the draw. Some of us got trucks that get low mileage and others can get 22 going uphill in a head wind.

I get 15-17 NO MATTER WHAT.

With 4. 10s I get around 16mpg, which is about the same that I got with the 3. 55s.

weird huh?

With the 4. 10s, 2000rpm is 72-73mph, so that's what I drive on the Interstate (75mph max speed around here)

At 2000 rpm I'm travelling 66mph according to my GPS - 4. 10s, 6spd, 315s. You might want to check the speedo.

It takes just over 2000K to get me to the 59 mph that I mentioned.

To me the "sweet spot" is 2000K. That would get me a decent cruising speed with the 98 3. 55 5speed, the 02 3. 55 6speed or the 04 3. 73 6speed. Plus fuel mileage was consistently between 19 and 21 depending on truck and driving conditions.

Thats why I'm swapping out the 4. 10s. So I hope you aren't just trying to ruin my day. :-laf
