My truck has 22000 miles on it, and it seems like someone flipped on the mileage switch. For my last too tanks (At the beginning of March) the mileage has increased dramatically. I can now get my overhead to read over 20mpg! I got 20mpg (calc) with about a 70/30 highway / city. On the highway I ran about 72 mph. I drove my truck a little eaiser than usual, but I wasn't babying it. On the next tank which was all city driving I got 18. 7 mpg (calc). My previous best was 18. 9 with 100% highway miles @ 65mph, a tailwind and driving real easy. I track my mileage every tank and it is usually around 15-17mpg depending on driving conditions.

I can't wait to get back home see what my mileage will be with some summer diesel.

MY 04. 5 got an awesome 23. 9 mpg(overhead) (hand calculated at 23. 3)at 68 mph by using the cruise control from Grants Pass Oregon to Sacramento Calif.

I make a runs from L. A. to Portland and mine don't look like that, even on that stretch. What's the secret? Or, are you just yanking our chain with some trick photography.

Let me add, in my truck, anything over 71 or 72 mph and the mileage drops rather quickly. I left my lead foot in High School, 35 years ago

Is that open to all or is that one of those special membership places. I tried to get a card at a commercial fuel place, but I was refused due to no PUC.

Sometimes it depends on the Pacific Pride owner. The one I use Ive known for several years. It also helpped that I have 3 John Deere tractors. For those, I have an "off road card". That removes all taxes from the fuel. I also have one for myself, my wife, my kids, and any employee to use for "taxed" fuel. The bill will show each card that has been used.

Most of the time, Pacific Pride will be the same as the public stations but, sometimes they may be a few cents higher. You never know until you get your bill as they rarely post their prices. The good part is that you are assured that the fuel you get is from a high volume dealer and is good fuel! Lately, my Pacific Pride has been about 5 cents less than the jippo stations. :p
