What kind of mileage could I expect out of a 2006 3500 dually with 4. 10 rears? My 97 with 3. 54's

runs about 1700 - 1800 rpm at 65 mph. What would the truck with 4. 10's run at 65 mph?

I've had several 3500 duallys, 03, 04. 5, 05, and a 08 (5500)... . all with the 4:10... . all are now gone except the 05 listed below with the NV5600... I've got the last 3 years of fuel receipts and this truck tows a 15,000 lb 5er 90% of the time and can't think of when I've gone through a full tank of fuel and not towed... Towing around the pacific northwest... OR, WA, MT, WY, UT, AZ, ID, CA and including the 10% grade at Grand Teton Pass... . 9. 54 MPG overall average over the past 3 years... my software that I use only goes back 3 years...

CarCare.com or CarCare.org... one of the two... track all my vehicles, and major equipment with fuel and repairs... great software.....

Mine with 4:10's runs about 2000 rpm at 65mph. My 3500 is a SRW, I don't know if the wheels/tires on the dually are the same size as the SRW or not.

My sig. truck with stock tires runs 2100 at 65, I usually cruise around 2300 (70 ~ 75 ). Best Ive seen is ~ 20 ( all hwy below 70 ), usually around empty combined its 14 ~ 16, towing I am around 10 ~ 11 with my 5er. Hope it helps.

Probably around 14 to 16 mpg if its a 4x4. Running easy our 2003 4x4 DRW 3500 with the 48RE gets 16 mpg on a good day. Maybe a bit more running 65 mph on interstate runs at a steady pace unloaded. About 10 to 11 mpg pulling 10 to 12K on a flat deck, about 9 mpg pulling a 40' 5th wheel.

Best ever with 4:10s 2003 SRW 3500 22. 5 @ 65, Average 17-19 HWY , City 14-16, pulling 9-12. My 2005 is similar Mileage with 4:10s.
