What are you folks with 2013+ trucks seeing in mileage, both loaded and unloaded? While at SHOT I was talking to the Cummins rep there and he said that they were thinking 22mpg highway unloaded for the newer trucks.

In my sig, you can click my truck to see how much fuel mileage I've been getting and at what ratio of driving (city vs. highway). Best ever is 21.66mpg hand calculated. That was almost exclusively highway at 49mph average speed.

And just another note, my MPG is here on the hilly/mountainous west coast.

I've been seeing around 15.75-18.5 around town real hand cal numbers. My commute now is all of 4 miles a day down and up a steep hill. On the highway if I keep my speed under 67 Mph it will give 21.5-23.5 depending on outside temp. Over 70 the Mpg's crash to 19.3. All hand calc and speed on highway controlled by cruise control. I'll be doing a trip to the Fla Keys in March. Not sure if I'll be towing my boat or not but it should be a good trip to see just what this 13 can do on a long non stop haul.

I towed my 15K 5th wheel from MN to AZ starting with a little over 500 miles on the truck. With winter fuel and pretty cold until I got way south, I averaged 9.2 mpg with my signature truck. I got similar mpg with my 2005 3500 4x4 SRW with 4:10's pulling the same trailer.

Driving unloaded back in MN I averaged combined city/highway, right around 15 mpg. Now, with 2900 miles on the truck, my average combined mpg has slowly increased to 17 mpg. Temps have been in the mid 70 degrees so I may have reached my best mileage. Again, my 2005 got similar mileage here in AZ, unloaded.

So, my 2014 DRW is getting almost identical mileage as my stock 2005 SRW did but with significantly more power.

I should add that the computer on the 2005 always displayed about 3 mpg higher than actual hand calculated while the 2014 computer is almost dead on.

I get about 20 solo but with the truck loaded with heavy stuff, 75 mph across I-40 in NM and AZ where there are mountainous regions.

I have a 2013 Laramie 4x4 crew cab loaded 2500 342 gears pulled my 34ft big country 5th wheel approx. 12000 lb from salt lake city over soldier summit 7800 ft and down to price Utah 128 miles averaged 9.7 mpg I have traveled this road empty and get 19.6 I would like to see what this truck would get on a flat highway have not had a chance to do any level driving as I live in this area and everything is up and down have 5200 miles on it. I do not reset one my trip setting and it show 18.6 but I had calculate all my fuel and I show 18.1 so it is fairly close. Has more power than I need and the 2500 handles it great. If I was going to haul heaver loads I would look at the new air suspension you can get on the new trucks I would have liked that better and I think is avalibleble on the 2500 and 3500 in 2014 what ever you chose it will be nice

My 2013 2500 stock off of the lot got me about 20. Then I replaced the stock tires with 285's and I noticed it dropped about .5 to 1 mpg. Didn't expect that. Then I added my saddle box with a couple of hundred pounds of weight and dropped another 1 mpg. This I did expect. My wife's 2013 2500 (crew cab short bed), is totally stock w/o the extra weight and it gets 20 - 21. This is running highway at 60 - 65 mph.

I have a 2013 3500 4x4. Mixed town/highway I have been getting 19mpg hand calculated. I just did an all highway trip of about 5 hours at 60 to 70 mph. I got 23.5 mpg hand calculated. The evic usually shows 1 mpg better than hand calculated. DEF usage has been pretty low. At around 7000 miles I added 4 gallons. This was with limited towing.

Single rear wheel. And I drive with a pretty light foot. With the evic I find myself trying to get the best mileage on the display while driving.

2014 3500 srw 4x4 385/850 aisin 3.42 with only 700 miles I got 20.3 today on a couple hour drive to Indy

Have a little over 2000 miles on the 2014 2500 CTD.

That's what i.m seeing.

City, so far 15-16 MPG.

Haven't hauled with it yet.

BTW have the 4X4 as well.

Laramie 2013 limited 4x4 srw 2500

I now have 6870 miles on my truck 480 miles pulling 13000# Big County 5th wheel average 9.8 Highway is 23.6 empty hand calculated driving 68 to 75 mph Over all total mileage pulling, city, and highway for the 6870 is 17.9 mpg I think it is doing pretty good and should go up more as it gets broke in. I don't like the 323 gears around town so I run in 4th or 5th on the highway its good, at 75 mpg it sounds like its a little kitten purring and just getting started . Used 4 gal def so far. Quit impressive
