How many miles on your NEW Truck when you took Delivery?

And How many miles on a new truck at a dealership before it was considered a Demo ?

495 (Lou Fusz) I'll know better next time to ask if they're going to drive it from the dealer they swapped with. Stupid me to assume they would truck it.

Had about 45 miles on it, the dealer has two dealerships in my area, they brought the truck I wanted to the dealership closest to me.

Mine had 7 miles. I don't think anyone test drove mine as I special ordered and picked it up the day the dealer got it. I assume the miles were from loading, unloading, moving from dealer's drop off lot to the dealership, and mechanics test drive.

Spec or oerderd?

Did you order your truck or did you buy one off the lot? If you ordered it then no one should have drove it and you should have had no more then 20 miles on it. If you bought it off the lot then anyone can test drive it and to my knowledge (at least in Ohio) they can put as many miles on it as they want and it is still new until it is titled. If you don’t won’t anyone driving your truck or car you will have to order it.

I was told mine only had 7 miles on it when I signed the papers but when I picked it up it had 18. As it was a dealer swap that I picked up myself from the other dealer and was not on the lot I bought it from I can not complain to awful much.

Mine had 320, I also thought they would not drive the truck three hundred miles to bring in from another dealership. I was irritated, so I did a fine tooth comb inspection. The front cooler had bends and bugs in it, made them put on a new one. Had them swap tires with the one on the lot I test drove. Made them do a complete oil, oil filter and fuel filter change. And made very sure that the 320 was on all paper work as new mileage. I finalized the deal on Saturday aftenoon and wanted the truck Monday, so they told me that was the only way to get it there.

I had 37 miles on my new 2004 2500 w/auto. This is my third truck from the same dealer and oddly enough, I think all 3 trucks had 37 miles on tne odometers when I picked them up. Ummmmm.

In the long run, what's a few miles, as these engines will probably outlast the truck itself. Some things I care about and some things just aren't worth it.

Enjoy your new truck.

I work at a Dodge dealer, and can tell you we sell them with between 1 and thousands of miles.

Never assume they will flatbed a DX'd truck, it's common practice to drive it, since alot of the time we trade trucks.

I actually flew to new hampshire, and drove a truck back(450 miles) for a customer of mine. She had np problem with the miles, but insisted I be the one to go get it.

A vehicle at our dealership isn't considered a demo unless it has 3000+ miles on it.

Some of you guys are quite anal, pretty much the reason I got out of sales, because some people are ridiculous about minor things. If you want something with just a couple miles, then factory order it and tell them you don't want them to drive it as part of the PDI process.
