Got A Hat?

Just wondering how many of you out there have son's or daughter's currently serving in the military. I have a son who is serving in the Marine Corp and just returned from Iraq about two months ago. He is with an artillary unit out of Camp Pendelton and they saw some very serious action while in Iraq. Prior to that he was with the first marines to put boots on the ground in Afghanistan. Needless to say it's been a rough couple of years with worry. Just wanted to touch base with anyone out there who has someone serving and to say thank you to them. I'm very proud of my son as well as all of the men and women who are putting it on the line for all of us to enjoy the freedom that we have. I got my 03' CTD while he was in the desert waiting to go in to Iraq. I was able to send him a picture along with a care package and he was quite impressed with the big Dodge! Once he was able to come home he was drooling to drive it! At that point I would have let him have it just to have him home safe!

My Son is in the Army and is stationed in Hawaii. Some of his company are going to vist bin Laden next year. No one knows who is going at this time. I am proud of him but I still don't think I can talk him into staying in for 20 years. I think he is going to give it up after 7 years.

I applaude all the military and know they do a good job even though the press just shows the things that go wrong.

If your son is sent over to Afhganistan you can be assured that my thoughts and prayers will be with him and your family everyday. These young men are well trained and highly motivated. Wish him well for me and we are here if you need.
