Michigan Convoy to IRP

Anybody near Milwaukee Wi that is able to go look at a truck for me? Found a decent deal on a overvalver  that the wife is interested in. The name of the town is Fond Du Lac.

It would be great if somebody with lots of 24 valve, auto transmission experiance could go look at it, before I drop a bunch of time and fuel money in to drive up and look at it.

Anybody help?

Michael

That's about a half hour from my home, unfortunately I'm in Conway, AR until next Wednesday. Keep me updated, I might be able to look at it for you after I get back.

Not much 24 valve experience but some AT experience...

Edit: In Conway until Friday. :(

Sounds like Lenz Auto. They have so many diesel trucks there that you won’t be able to go home without one of them. You will find several in your price range and optioned the way you want. Then it is your job to figure out which one you can get the best deal on. Talk with Brad there.

Thats the place, and thats who my wife has been talking to. ;) I just don't want to drive that far for something that its not really.

Extreme, let me know when you get home, it doesn't look like we will be able to get a free weekend until the 17th anyways.

Now Byran, don't say stuff like that especially if my old 93 can hear it. ;) She will always be a standard cab truck around here, no cutting allowed. I would love to build a first gen crew, but the wife would rather have a second gen  So I guess now we are looking at an overvalver, slush box. At the very least its still a Dodge, with a real diesel engine. I can't have everything around here the way *I* want it :( :{ ;) . All the married men around here know what I'm talking about. I'm glad its not a Chiii-Chee- I can't even say it, or a FFFFFoooorr... ... ... FFFF... well you know what I'm talking about.

Just for your info, I bought a truck from them once. Never again. It was overpriced and had problems that they didn't disclose. Just my opinion, but tread carefully with Brad.

Well don't worry about it, we are planning a trip up there monday to look at it. Going to bring a fuel pressure gauge, a creeper, and look for cracked 53 block, check fuel pressure and hope the transmission shifts ok.

Michael,

If you have a chance, and want to stop by on your way home, give me a jingle. Should be home ~6pm.
