Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Mine page... torque converter/tin foil

I saw the little writeup about putting tin foil on the neg battery wire. What's the problem people have been having that would need to do this??

TC with erratic lockup. While the TC is locked up it can sometimes unlock noticed by the rpm slightly increasing. Sometimes it is traced to electrical noise from the alternator and people changing the TPS trying to cure the problem without success.
