Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Mirror block off plates

I have a '01 2500. I want to put door mounted mirrors on and remove the existing mirrors. I am looking for the block off plates that use to come with the door mounted mirrors. I went to Dodge and they didn't know what I was talking about. Does anyone know where I can get the block off plates? Thanks.

If you are replacing the small mirrors that came on the '01 trucks, why not change them out to the larger tow mirrors. That's what I did on my '01. I wasn't able to get the electric move and heat hooked up, but the mirrors worked great. At that time I had my local Dodge dealer install them.

Find a different parts guy/dealer. Someone at my work has a set on his 1998 shortbed.

I went to a shop and they told me that the block off plates where discontinued. I might be out of luck.
