Mirror Problems

I am about to install the third flip up type mirror on my truck since July of this year. Each mirror has been on the passenger side of the truck and what happens is the mount that provides adjustment becomes sooo loose the mirror just flops around. One of them fell completely out of the housing.



Has anyone else expericed any problems like this with the DC OME flip up mirrors? So far, my supplier has been willing to replace them, but I'm real tired of removing my door panel and looking at my right rear "training wheel"

I installed a set of these on my 96 ram about 2mos ago. They seem to be holding up fine. I tow about twice a month and flip them up and readjust . Now I am worried they are going to fall apart. Do you flip them in and out and adjust them alot? I am just curious. I will let you know if mine have any problems.

Mine did the same thing the day I drove it off the lot, the replacement is holding up just fine. your supplier may have some old stock, I think DC has fixed the problem

I am not flipping the mirrors and adjusting them every day or anything close to that. ( However, for what they cost I should be able to adjust them that much and more! )



I probably flip mine up and adjust them about 3 to 4 times a month.



I hope yours are part of the newer stock that has been mentioned and I hope my new one comes from that same stock in which the problem has been corrected.

I had the same problem on mine right after I drove it off the lot. Three weeks later the passenger mirror fell out and the drivers mirror was going all over the place.



I took it in and had them replaced and have had no trouble at all. But I don't adjust them except maybe once a month. I really wish that DC would come out with a trailer mirror that was electric and heated like the Mickey Mouse mirrors.

I've had both of mine replaced under warranty. OK now.
