Just got my '01 in after picking through 15 trucks in a dealer search. #ad
In my exitement about findinf a 3. 54 LSD I overlooked the lack of trailer mirrors. Anybody want to trade? Or know where I can get them cheaper that DC??

The Factory "Flip Up" ones?

Ask for kit number 82206157 . . and confirm this is the mirror kit. Should be around 250 smackers. Beats the heck out of the $370 each price I got from the my local dealer.

Yep . the kit includes BOTH mirrors with the back plate for the inside of the door to keep it from crushing the door frame. You may not need the back plate . . something about the 2001 and newer have been beef'd up?? In any case ask to be sure.

I don't know how they get away with undercutting the other dealers. As if im really concerned. Additionally they usually are up with the latest info. Sure glad someone turned me on to them.

My experience . . I asked my local dealer for the cost for the new flip up mirror kit . . and they just laughed. "You must have been reading from the internet again. . " they said . . no such kit exists they exclaimed. You have to buy both seperately if the truck didn't come from the factory with them . . they insisted. Hung up the phone . . ordered from mopar4less . . 4 days later I drove the the dealership to show off my fantasy kit mirrors . . for less than the price of ONE of their mirrors without the backplate. That sure shut'em up.

Good luck on the retrofit . . my install went without a hitch . . have someone close to steady the mirror when installing. This way you don't have to fight the alignment. Less than an hour install.

I was at the local salvage yard this week and seen a pair of the flip up towing mirrors on the shelf. If you'd like I can see what they want for them. I've got a decent relationship with the guys there so they might cut me a good price.

I purchased Mopar Trailer Tow Mirror Package P/N 82206157 October 3, 2000. My Ventura County, CA dealer did not have them in stock and told me that they were on back order, about a three week wait. He did a search for me and located the six closest dealers with the mirrors in stock. I purchased them from Earnhardt's Dodge in Gilbert, Arizona (800. 451. 0243).

The list price on the kit was $270 and I imagine it still is. With 25% off, no sales tax, and $7. 50 shipping, they were at my front door in two days for $210 total.

If I need any other spendy Mopar items I'll call Earnhardt's Dodge again.

does anyone know if they will be makeing those mirrors power anytime soon I would like the tow mirrors but I need them power and prefferably heated Im spoiled now

I may be interested in a trade. I have the towing mirrors and tow very little. My main concern is, is the passenger's side power operable? And I guess my next ? is, is the wiring harness in place on all truck? I would imagine it would be. Is the rigth side flat or convex? Logistics could also be a problem, since I have a contractors cap and absolutely can't drive w/o the right side mirror. Get back to me and we'll see if this can work out.
