Any one in the Portland/Vancouver area that would be willing to help me with a few questions that need "hands on" evaluation?



For example: Had my '91 (supposed to be a '91. 5) for about a year now and have had several comments from places like Cummins NW that my IC setup "ain't stock".



Also looking for help fixing the KDP problem.

I think an easy way to see if you have an early or late 91 is to look at the tag on the front cover and see if it calls for 1. 4 or 1. 25 for timing. 1. 4 is early, non ic.
 
There's a dyno day at Fast Specialties in Vancover on April 1. Lot's of people there would be willing to take look at it and answer questions for you.

Early '91's had no intercooler at all - and the one added mid-year was claimed to be sorta poor - so guys with early'91's sometimes upgraded with something like the Banks IC setup - late '91 guys sometimes did as well, for improved effectiveness. The other major upgrade on the later '91's, was addition of OD to the automatics - a poorly thought out "improvement" that started the LOoooong slide of failed AT's, and the poor Dodge reputation that went with it. There may have been radiator/cooling system changes as well at mid year - the early '91's used a downflow radiator with the inlet/outlet on the same side of the radiator that allowed "short-cycling" of coolant and abundant overheating issues in heavy use - later 1st generation trucks went to an improved crossflow radiator, and fewer heating problems.
