ok guys. my brother's truck is misfireing, low power during the misfire, and puffs blue/white smoke when all of this is happening. it only happends under acceleration. idle and cruzing is fine. anyone have any ideas? Oh and the truck is a 98 and has around 160,000 miles on it.

i have done:

air intake

htt exhaust manifold

4inch silverline exhaust

pac brake

When I removed the filter it looked ok visually. Installed new one and everything was good. With the bad element I had very poor acceleration and white/blue smoke that i could see in the mirror. It is also the cheapest place to start when there is nothing else obviously wrong.

Let us know if this fixes the problem or move to the next step.
