No codes are presant. After the install I got it cranked up and it ran great for about 10 minutes then after the engine warmed a little the engine started misfiring. What is up??

Thanks,

Sean

After installing my 1. 6s I had similar problem - constant - had a leaky line nut at the tube. Backed it off a 1/2 and re-snugged it smoothed right out. Lucky me. Check the fuel system for leaks - most probable cause.

Thanks guys, I just got off the phone with II and they said the choppy idle is normal so I went and test drove it. I must say what a ride!!! Truck sounds like it has a cam in it. I double checked all fuel fittings and there is no leaks anywhere. Now I have a EZ problem, every time I plug the EZ in the truck has a random misfire. EZ unplugged its cool. I will try to have it warrentied or upgrade to a COMP.

I guess I need to ask others out there with the HRVP44 do you have a choppy idle like I do? Sounds pretty cool but just want to make sure it is normal.

Thanks,

Sean

I have Don M's 1. 6's and a Comp - runs GREAT, with only the SLIGHTEST hint of a light "lope" just as I pull away from a dead stop - I hope your remaining problem IS from the EZ, and not some more serious and subtle problem.

The sky might be falling too Gary

Sean,

The Hot Rod Lope is completely normal, and will be amplified by bigger injector lines, and connector tubes.

Is it a Misfire? or just feels like one cylinder might be low on power?

A connector tube might not be 100% seated, or seated correctly. Back 'em off a 1/4 turn, and re-tighten, although the #2 cylinder might be very hard to get to with the intake still on.

Thanks OPoole! I drove the truck the entire weekend and it runs awesome! Man I am glad I kept the truck now other than I had to put a couple a thousand dollars toward her but worth every penny now.

Thanks for all the help,

Sean

Same Bomb! Same issues! Loping

SAME EXACT LOPE! Just installed HRVP44 from Industrial and Mach 1. 6's and Edge Comp.

The loping occurs when going to drive from neutral or park with A/T. Worse with horses and big 35' trailer coming off long highway run to a stop light. Bucks, lopes, chugs like it is firing on individual cylinders. If I keep my brake foot planted about 50% of the time the loping subsides. The other half of the time I am forced to throw A/T into neutral and the idle resolves it's issues. Even does this with Edge comp turned off. Usually run Comp on 1-3 anyway.

Touch the throttle and all lope goes away while in drive, but the problem is sometimes you have to stay stopped at a light in traffic.

Must admit the "cam" sound is cool, I could just loose the hard lope. I even went to the dealer for a reflash. I added the newest overflow spring on the I. P. Next was told to add some fuel additives and lubricants and run the **** out of the motor. This would free up the injector spray nozzle or help them with their reseating. 8 tanks of fuel and 3K miles of pulling 75-80mph down to FL along with a few showy smoke runs has yet to resolve issue. Runs like a scalded dog otherwise under throttle.

Is it the injectors or the pump or Comp? Tough call when you add multiple items at one bombing.

Your items are almost the same as mine except for the EZ. Very interesting!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Headed for the PS 62 turbo next, but need to resolve this first.

Tis the pump! Had another conversation with II the other day just to double check if the EZ is cool with this pump and the verdict is hell yea and even better with a comp or something similar. I am going to upgrade to a comp since this flaw I had with the EZ.

Truck is still running awesome! Cant wait for the comp now... :)
