I just wanted to share this with someone in case someone had the same problem I did down the road... .

We blew the fuse for my left park light the other day trying to wire a new light for my new rear bumper. We replaced the fuse with what we THOUGHT was a spare. It was marked as a spare in both the box AND the manual. When I got in the truck my speedometer wouldn't work and the E-Brake and ABS lights were staying on.

I couldn't figure out what was going on. I disconnected the batteries, checked all the fuses to make sure another one hadn't gone out, looked and stared at the wiring going to the rear bumper... . I just didn't have a clue.

I took it to the dealership and luckily the guy had seen it before on an '06. Fuse #30 isn't a spare -- it's for the ABS. This might be something to check if your speedo isn't working and the lights for the ABS, E-Brake, and engine stay on!

Thanks a million! Simple fix after I had been testing wires and switching fuses to find a suitable + source for my Ride Rite Air Compressor Kit. I accidentally put the "spare" back in another location by accident.

Oo.
