missing cover for hole in dash?

checking fit and finish of dash on the new truck. feeling around under dash and found a rectangular hole. looking at the edge of the hole it appears that there is some kind of cover that snaps in. the hole is under the dash section below the driver's heated seat button and can't be seen while sitting in the drivers seat. no such hole in the trim under the passenger heated seat button. I can't feel any wires or fasteners by sticking my finger in there. does any one else have this?
