Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Missing Ex. Manifold Bolt

Was changing yet another VP44 on my truck today and noticed a missing exhaust manifold bolt (Cyl. #6 on the top). There are no cracks in the manifold that I can see and the others are still tight. I'm gonna try to get a new one and a spacer from Cummins tomorrow, anyone have a P/N? Is this something that happens often? Anyways, it would be a big help if anyone knew what the tq. specs are on these things. Thanks.

It used to be a common thing to happen. I think there might even be a TSB for it.

Take a look at TSB 09-002-01 (thanks Dave Fritz). You'll also find the required torque on the TSB.

I got the ATS header, several bolts kept backing out. Good thing was they would fall out and drop in the webbing. Only way I could think to stop it was cross drill the allen bolts that come with the header and safety wire them. It seems to have worked. Tween the heat expansion and contraction & the vibration they just kept unscrewing.
