Missing hoses at tank

Friend of mine has a '04 3/4 4wd. While in Canada last year on a elk hunt, his truck took a crap. A dealer there finally, after tons of work, found there was a hose missing from the top of the pump module. Said there was a lot that got passed down the line with this hose missing, allowing mud-water to enter the tank when driving. They would not cover it under warranty in Canada, and he has been fighting here since October to get some reimbursement from Chrysler. New lift pump, inj pump, injectors, etc. cost him $7000. 00 to get his truck out of hock! Any one heard of this?

I have a friend who has a 93 that had a tear in the rubber fill tube that let water, mud and the such into the tank. this was when it was new dodge would not stand behind it... George

Sounds like the dreaded fuel vent lines. There have been others in the same situation, as I recall, and Dodge wouldn't warrant the truck.



It's really wrong of them to do this to people - it's a design flaw. Some hot shot lawyer might be able to make a nice case against them.
