ny is pretty tough to get concealed infact they don't want a non concealed weapon ... . to get the permit takes a few months normally then its a one time(life time) fee and a fee for every gun you add. . you can't carry in nyc either unless your current police officer or retired police officer... later

Way to go Larry, but where did you come up with that price? Are you skimming off of the top for bombs for your truck? I pay $15 every 4 years. They did get my prints, and it took only 3 months for it to arrive in the mail.
Just found this post as I've been busy with the press and tons of sheriffs and folks emailing, calling with questions. I should have considered the "skimming for a set of twins" but unfortunately the cost of the permits barely covers the cost to government. The permit is good for 3yrs and the $50 renewal fee is the maximum amount allowed. Since Missouri is the only state in the nation to put concealed carry to a public vote (1999). It was defeated. I had to be very careful to cover costs to garner support. The '99 version was assailed by the press and liberals saying that non-carrying taxpayers shouldn't subsidize... ... ... ..... right and wish they say that about everything else they WANT government to pay for.
It was a sweet week for myself and Missourians. The legislature had only overridden 3 governor's bills since the civil war and in three days we overrode 3 more bills!! One was a 24hr wait for abortion with health infomation furnished. I got to handle the other two, concealed carry and the prohibition of junk lawsuits against gun manufacturers. There are 163 elected representatives and we had to have 109 votes for the house override and a 2/3rd's majority in the senate. Larry
We would like to pull in Springfield, just let us know when! Please be advised that we'll make a raid on the Bass Pro Outlet Store too... ... ... ..... Larry
