Who here has on of there clutches in there truck?

I am considering one of these clutches if this clutch that I have has eaten up my flywheel again. Due to the cost of a stock flywheel and I hear their kit comes with all that you need including flywheel.

I just want to get something that will last as long as the Cummins does.

So give me your info on what you know about the Mitchellized clutches.

It is noisy, but it holds whatever you put in front of it. The two discs and the floater plate rattle quite a bit when not engaged but you get used to it. It makes everyone ask "What's in that thing?" It is a complete assembly. You have to send in your old flywheel or pay out $300. In return, you get a flywheel that has a deep cut in it for all the plates to clear (lighter flywheel, that's a plus), two ceramic or brass pucked discs, floater plate, and a pressure plate. It is sent as an assembly becuse it is all balanced. It is good for over 5000 rpm.

I have had one for over one and half years. It is incredible, its a little noisy but its nice to know its going to hold all the power you are going to put to it. I pull mine regularly probably 75 times in 18 months and i dont baby it. I drive this truck everyday, pull trailer, it is the most streetable clutch i have ever been around. I love it you might as well save your money on buying other clutches and get one of these.

The price is on their website for everyone to see. Go to Links, member's websites, and then to Enterprise Engine.

Mitchell Clutch is the way to go

I've read all these other posts about clutches not holding and so-forth, do you ever read anything about Mitchell Clutches not holding? Can't say that I have. I had to have mine replaced, but thats because I blew the imput shaft through the top of the bell housing and destroyed everything in there. Discs looked brand new with the exception of being all bent up. If your in the market for a clutch make it a Mitchell. Like exhausted said it will hold everything you throw at it. Mine is a daily driver and I got used to the noise pretty quick. Now i barely even hear it. I run the pi$$ out of it and the clutch is the least of my worries for breakage or slippage. Oo.
