I will be using probably about a 20-25 percent mix of WVO and #2, now is there anything else that I should mix in with it?

DM,

Check the DSE thread in this forum - cj's done a lot of testing using their blend/additive. He also has quite a few miles on two different rigs.

If you're not up for that, I'd recommend using at least part of their formula - at least for the summertime.

That part would be 10% #1 (kerosene - thins it a bit) and the recommended amount (on the container) of Power Service diesel additive (improves cetane, helps injectors).

The also call for 5% RUG (regular unleaded gas): I'm guessing that part of the reason they use the PS w/cetane additive to balance the octane of the gas.

The DSE additive itself is a blend of xylene and naptha (coleman fuel). They use such a small amount - but the xylene is very good at dissolving waxes and should be the thing that reduces the pour point/gel point in the winter, and keeps this stuff flowing. Same with naptha - though it may help with keeping the water in check as well.

Do you have a good filtering setup?

Mark

just stock filters right now. hopefully this week I will be putting on my aux pump and filter set up I have. its a take off remote filter head off a new engine at work with a fs something or other filter on it.

That info helps quite a bit, I am fairly new to this game so any info helps, allthough that was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Dan
