MNTDR Annual Dyno Day at Hi Tech!

I have great news! I just got off the phone with Neil from the DHRA. We are going to have some excellent prizes to give away this weekend!



I'll be getting them today... . I'll try to post something about what all we have when I find out what all will have!

Well unfortuantly there isn't a drag strip..... so there would be no way to prove that. Although... I KNOW there are members of our MNTDR that are in the low 12's high 11's. They also appear stock.



I'm thinking:

High HP

High Torque

Low HP

Low Torque

and some door prizes.

low HP and Low torque? pffft, lemme disconnect a few injector wires, place a block under the peddle so they can't go WOT. for the second run on the rollers and we'll see how much I can sand bag.



maybe best burn out? Most amount of smoke generated in a 60 foot run down the parking lot? Quickest tire change? Well, maybe some of your old farts with heart conditions would have to be left outa that one!!! :-laf

EEEKKKK! thats a scary enuff to give me one..... :-laf dont worry high tec has a welder that doubles as a defibulator. FYI just fired the truck up and i cant see the out side of the shop, i can hear the truck running but cant see it. i really need to get this thing fixed

Well... I'm not sure what's wrong with mine. And honesly don't have much motivation due to low cash flow at the moment... . so... The head is off... no real piston damage. The cylinder walls look good..... so it's gotta be a bottom end issue. What... I'm not sure. It wasn't run much after it happened, so if I'm lucky (and I'm not) it'll only need a basic rebuild... .

Well Andy, If you can't get your runnning, I'll take take on Jason in the burn out and drag test for ya. What's wrong anyways? You do know that you can't take your injectors to the dremel and cut the ends off don't ya? Yeah it'll flow some fuel, but you're going to get a little smoke. Get that thing goin' , I wanna see how the silver bullet works.

So far I've put 9,000 miles on my truck in 2 years. I'm seriously steping out of the HP game to get a reliable vehicle. When I get money again ( :-laf ) I'll step up and start playing again. I've got a rug rat on the way, due in January... and so far none of my vehicles knock my socks off right now as far as being trustworthy... .

FYI, the burn out contest is merely a suggestion! I have little tred left on these crappy nittos and I do not plan on buying a set of tires after saturday! As far as the tire change contest, sure, I badly need to rotate these things.



I finally got a air-compressor, just need 2 2-1/2 jacks at home now.

I wanna be one of the last ones on the dyno when it's the warmest out so I can ensure some good boost numbers. I still haven't figured out why just under 40 degrees, I can't get over 30psi. but 1 degree warmers and I can smack 40.

8 at Pottings sounds good, i'll be the one with the very dirty 'dirt road mud brown over black' paint scheme,unless I get a chance to clean it, then it'l just be the black dually. Thanks,
