Anyone in Cincinnati up for a Meet 'n' Greet?

Lake Mills, WI - VW TDI GTG

Yes, you've asked for it... here it is.

Sunday October 10th, Rockfalls Raceway has a Fun Race. Gates open at 8, time trials start at 9. It is $35 to enter. I just talked with them out there, they seem more than happy to have us come out there.

Required, the obvious, good tires and good mechanical condition. He said major leaks will be shut down. NO MUD! :-laf He asked that if we spend alot of time on gravel roads or mudding to wash the bottom side of the truck down so it doesn't fall off on the track.

Helmets, long pants, and seatbelts should be all we need unless you are gonna go faster than 11. 99. Then it goes to DHRA/NHRA rules.

Please post if you are going to come out, or come out and run. He said a large number shouldn't be a problem unless we get 200 trucks together. :-laf  All makes and models are welcome! If your Ferd Buddy thinks he's faster... . here is the time to make him prove it! Common out and Join us!

Josh

Good job Josh. I have been to this track, we can grill in the pits, etc..... The tree you will be using is not the standard bulb tree. Last year they went to LED's, so for those that know how to cut a good light on the older bulb tree, you get to learn over.

FAT KID, your mine... ... ... ... ... ... lol. If I lose it is because I missed 5th. Mister F7, you better show up, and I won't have my drag comp for you to try out, sorry. Diesel Tim, if you are not there, I am towing your truck in and pounding the auto myself. J. P. how you going to get your truck clean? Or are you just watching?

Thanks,

Hey now! My truck has not been in the mud yet! :D It does sound like the weekend after it might be though! :-laf I'm actually going to try and Degrease the bottom of my truck! That might prove to be an interesting project!

Fat Kid, your on! I think we should get yours to weigh the same as mine, that would be a fair race right! Actually I think you will edge me out in the mid range, but we will see. I'm going to set my timing between now and then. 11 degrees of timing is not enough!

So who's bringing the Ambu-trailer?

Josh

Alright guys no need to pick on THE FAT TRUCK cuz its light. so what if it only weights 6700 lbs not my fault. jim your on! josh #@$%! your going down!! (i think) cant wait guys

Andy

P. s. HOLESHOT COME PLAY!!

You know FAT KID, I may not have the Drag Comp for Silver ram to play with, but I will have a TST Comp that would be able to use. Should be the same connector in the back, depending on how tough you have mounted yours.

"FAT KID", The words correction are spelt like that, and wonder is this way. The way you have it spelt sounds like you have a wounded truck..... Webster makes a book that has many words in it, do you know what a book still is? Seems like they are fading like 8 tracks did.

His GF probably has his nutz in a sling already! :-laf

No Beer Drinkin for Ole' Matt!

No Offense!

My GF is 10,000 miles from here and will be for the next year. I can drink as much beer as I please... provided I obey all laws and make it to work on a somewhat regular basis. :-laf As for the nutz... . they're chillin like villains... no sling there last time I checked.

The more important issue is that my '94 still isn't out here (I'm shooting for getting it out here before the snow flies... ) and the '98 is ill-equipped for drag racing...

I suppose I could come and watch Josh break his truck... :D

Why is it everyone picks on ME to break the truck!?!

I haven't broken anything on the track yet! :D

Matt, you should come out and play anyway... . Go get the 94, what better time than the present? What better reason? You might be able to show us how it's done! :-laf  :-laf

Josh

I thought you liked breaking your truck? My bad... :-laf

The '94 is at 'the shop' right now... no firm word on when it's going to be ready... I'm hoping soonish, though.

Everytime I have ever driven that truck off a public road and attempted to do something cool with it... I wind up looking like an idiot (more than usual). :-laf

About the only thing I'll be able to show people is how your truck is NOT supposed to run... :D

Matt

Matt,

if josh doesnt break i might so at least you'll see something break, well maybe will's clutch wont hold like the time he tried pulling... . :-laf anyways you should come out and play it will be a good time. tim's truck isup and running with an auto in it now and i guess it hauls A$$ so he will be there.

THe Fat Kid

Andy

Tim got sick and tired of rowing through the gears, eh? :D I know how well my '94 used to run with all that fuel... so his should be quite quick.

Matt

No he didn't sick of rowing through the gears. The 5spd can't hold up to the twins now. He completey tore all the teeth off of 5th gear, the input shaft is twisted, so instead of fixing it again, well he and Dave Gorend came up with one mean transmission. Trying some new stuff in Tim's auto, and so far so good. He still misses his shifting, that is why he drives mine all the time... ... ... ... :)

Well by the time you get done with the upgrade on the input... repairing the 5th gear issue... and I believe the counter shaft problem... . Add a new clutch in there... . your up to the price of a very well built auto. With the auto... . no boost lag! :D

Look out boys here comes Crazy Tim!

hehe

Josh

Josh,

NOTHING IS AS SCARY AS THE LIL FAT KIDS WOMEN DRIVING THE FAT TRUCK(i forgot to turn the box off) i have never herd the turbo barked so many times. so i told her to put it on cruise yea well that barked it too. anyways the fat kids women is coming jp brings yours.

Andy

Fat Kid?, she going to be wearing the helmet all the way to the track? :-laf I was with Tim most of the night last night, ya we took his truck around the cities. What a rush... ... ... ... . . With the B&M shifter on the floor, the twins howling like a couple of Coyote's with there balls sinched howling at the moon, the general public really take notice. Although the launch of the truck has a little improvement to be dealt with, the over all package is great. Once 40psi is hit the truck reminds me of running NOS on my gasser. 'Cause from 40psi to 65psi+, the motor acts like you just added a shot of NOS. Hopefully we get the launch down before Rockfalls, also sounds like we are not going to be going to Tri-State on the 9th. That way niether one of us wreck anything.

FAT KID, the Compettition box showed up yesterday, so I would like to be able to see if it helps your times at the Rock, shoould be an easy swap, same connectors as yours, so should be a simple swap.

Here is a little up-date on Silver ram, his truck is acting up bad. Had it towed to White Bear where the want to void his "W", for having a FASS on. Any way not sure if he will get the thing together for the 10th. I really wish if your truck has a warrenty and your pulg and playing with it, and you have to take it in. Please go to Bernards in New Richmond, WI. I mean come on the mechanics there that have a CTD's run a FASS and they sell and install Edge Products, so with them installing FASS's on there trucks, could that be telling ya something?

Jim,

I wouldn't put it past her to wear it to teh track, but I'm gonna need it when we get there. Kinda sucks to be kevin right now from the sound of things. It doesnt suprise me that tim's truck hauls A$$. anyways cant wait guys
