Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) MNTDR, Replacing Clutch, who wants to help?

I will be there after the kids soccer practice is done. Should be around noontime or just a bit after that. I can bring my floor jack and the adapter to make it into a transmission lift/jack. I have 4 jackstands that I will bring with as well. Any other tools that you need me to bring with?

For those coming from the North:

Take I-35 South to County Rd 70 Exit. Turn right on to CtyRd 70 (west) and go ~2. 5 miles (becomes Cty Rd8 half way) My driveway is on the right (north) side of the road. Address is 8776, you should see a greenish/blue colored reflective sign by the mail box with the numbers. It comes up fast, so keep an eye out for it, just ask Andy and Jim :-laf :-laf If you hit Cty Rd 91, turn your arse back around!

the higher up the better man. that way you can sit up under there and work. how big is your lift kit? 4"was it? alright how about directions for some folks... . ?

its got a 5" lift right now with 35" tires, as it sites now, I can sit up under it! If I can get it in the garage, and throw some jack stands under the axles, we should have PLENTY of room under it.



I could try letting all the air out of the tires and see if it squats enough. I am not driving it now until its fixed, so maybe I will try and get it in the garage tonight or tomorrow. I only need another 4"s to make it under the door with the stacks.

Hey Andy, I went by Dave's yesterday and he told me that a TDR member's truck was stolen off his lot on Wednesday night and the cops found it with a BUNCH of parts missing. I'm just messing... let me know if you're gonna be down this way. Chris

Anyway, Andy, if you pick up your truck, is that close to chris? He had a clutch that I am interested in, as since I am robbing my 12v of a clutch, I am going to need one for the 12v eventually.

Matt called and said he won't be able to get online tonight and asked if I could send out a message asking who all will be there tomorrow. He also indicated that he is going to bring the job indoors at his dad's place which is about 20 minutes from his house. He said we can meet at his place around 10 or 10:30 and then follow him down to his dad's shop. I haven't looked at the forecast but Matt said there is a chance of rain tomorrow in the morning.



So, those that can make it please chime in and let us know. I'm planning on being there around 10.

Plan changes! Meeting at my house between 10 and 10:30AM, then moving to my Dads shop 20 Minutes south. This will allow me to work on it in doors!



If you want to come, but cant make it to my house by this time, PLEASE call my cell phone and I will give you directions. I dont want to post up the addy due to the fact there is LOTS of tools there... if ya know what I mean.

Andy, I haven't heard yet if Dave is planning a dyno event but I'm trying to keep my weekends open so I can make it if he does. If I remember right I think Aron was trying to coordinate the Mustang for it before they set a date. I know that all the TDR members who attend need to make every effort they can to help out with the dyno because it is A LOT of work for one guy to do himself. I watched Aron at the Minooka Meltdown running everything and he really had to keep moving to get everyone hooked and rolled for the day. We need to come up with an idea of how we can help him do some of the work so he will continue to run it for us. I know I will be doing my share to help after he has saved me thousands in work on my truck just in the last year. We will need one guy to strap trucks, one to scuff and tape harmonic balancers, and one guy to help get trucks back on the dyno or else get the whole group to work together and rotate. I really hate the idea of loosing a dyno event at Dave's already since I live so close and have never been to one there yet since I was always into my V-10 power before buying my CTD last year.
