Donnellson Ia truck pull 0ct 8

Hooters Chicks!!

When: Sept 18th (sunday) at 10am till... ...

Where: Blatz/Mach 5 motors in Ramsey

Directions are EASY!

If you are comming from the Cities... . Get on 10 west. (or 169 north, they join in Anoka) It is between Anoka and Elk River on the right side. Just before Ramsey Blvd. There is a Ramsey General Rental just before it and an MGM liquor just after it.

If you are comming from the Beautiful north country... . down 169 or 10 They join in Elk River. Watch for Ramsey BLVD, you will be taking a left. Then take a left into the Holiday parking lot. Drive past the station, you will see Fleetwood collision. Follow the parking lot around and you are there. It's pretty easy, but kind of a pain to explain the parking lot situation.

If you want to BBQ, please bring your own food. I will try to bring my grill and enough charcoal.

We can do some light mechanical, timing, ETC. The hoists we have are not strong enough to lift our trucks. Sorry guys.

really easy, you can get them from tire shops. they toss the weights they tear off the wheels when they rebalance them, then you toss them in a bucket, melt them down in a pot over a good heat source, then pour them into what ever you want. Hell, I could ask my race buddy if he still has some lead blocks left from race car crap, we use to have hundreds of pounds of lead blocks :-D

i could use hundreds of pounds of lead if he has them to spare, just let me know how much. as of now my truck is a no go. transmission **** out on the way home from work. couldnt get up the little hump into the shop. 4000rpms to mantain 45 mph.

That sucks man... . my clutch is about history. It will not hold at all with the box on under heavy acceleration. it sucks, cuz basicly I have to drive with the box off until I can afford a new clutch... speaking of which, who all could help me with an install of a new one? Rip quoted me just over 900 for the southbend Con-OFE 13" shipped to my door, that good? Also, I cant remember, was it you Jim that had the 13" flywheel that I could buy from ya?

Thanks

-Matt

Crap Andy! Do you have any gears solidly? Fluid level? The rear clutch applies in all forward gears... ... do you have reverse?

Sorry I was short on the phone yesterday, I was in the middle of pulling an engine.

Josh

Andy, lead is about $. 50 a lbs unprepared (basicly still with the metal clips on the lead) or $1 a lbs if prepared (w/out metal) My buddy said we could borrow his propane torch and ladel for pouring it. if you wana do this, let me know, I will get the Phone number of the guy with the lead. Also, if you cant run weights at all, do they frown upon aftermarket bumpers? Maybe bolt my bumper on for a pull, it wieghs a few extra lbs :-laf

well im off to dave's after work tonight. making a midnight run to GB transmission shop. if we can get some lead alpha that would be cool.

The Fat Kid

P. s. josh i got nothing!

Andy, are you staying down here while your truck is worked on? I only live about 30 minutes from GB. If you drop it off I could maybe do you a favor and bring it back up to the Rochester area this next week if it gets done since I will be pulling loads out of there all week. It would save you some driving time. Just let me know. Chris

Well being it's 1:30am on Friday night... . Spicy and the Fat Kid are on the road. They left this area to drop the truck at around 11. He'll have to let you know when he gets back to town.

And Thanks CSnyder for the offer! That's what makes the MNTDR and the local TDR members great!
