I'm really wondering what failed. It seems like it would be something with the Rear clutch or the Direct clutch. The Direct clutch is the one that I smoked..... and that has the one way roller clutch to "help" it. I drove my truck with a smoked Direct clutch and could tell other than no reverse.



Humm.....



I'm sure he'll let ya know!

Jim, and who ever else that can help, I smoked the clutch this weekend. it still works, and I can drive it as is, but I bet it wont last more than a couple weeks, can any of ya'll help me out with a Clutch swap? I will need that Flywheel from you Jim, so let me know how much ya gotta have for it. I am going to order the clutch hopefully this week. Sorry to get offtopic, but if I wana make it to this deal, I GOTTA fix this darn clutch. I had her smoking, litteraly, I guess those dozen or more donuts I spun were not a good idea! :-laf

Jim, the head will be cut this week. I found a stock gasket for $50. I think I'm gonna go the cheep route and make sure it holds before I put in a $200 gasket to find out it's not gonna!

If you want to run my flywheel you will need the bigger input shaft for your 5 spd. Plus I have not taken mine out yet. Thought I gave you a price for flywheel my South Bend Fe and pressure plate, if I didn't I am sorry. I am still sitting on the double disc, it is beside my desk still and looking tempting to get in, but I was really in no rush.

yes, you gave me a price, just debating if I should get a new one or not... I was quoted ~900 from Rip for the ConOFE 13" shipped to my door, but your price is looking like it might be a better deal, as long as you havent beat the **** out of it! :-laf But give me a call if you wana sell it to me soon, if you still need to wait, thats fine, I will just have to fork out the big $$$ :-laf number is 612-701-2843.



But, yeah, i need to do this with in 2 weeks, because I am afraid it wont last much longer at all. it slips a little even with no box on when I hit the go pedal. Plus, it stinks like all hell. It has toned down a little, but you can smell burnt clutch sitting at the stop signs/lights. Can you get me a shaft, or do I need to buy that some where else?
