Hooters Chicks!!

Guess It looks like I was right with my guess huh Sipcy? :) IT'S ALIVE. Finally got to hear my truck run. 7 months... way too long without it. I got it together last night and did a retorque. Drove it last night and today to work. No leaks. I figure I'll drive it this week and do another retorque at the end of the week or early next week. Man it's hard to not just stomp on it. I swear it takes every ounce of willpower I have to not flip on the chip and mash it to the floor. Now if I ever get a turbo I can go out duramut huntin'.

Well guy's I won't be making it to the wrench day. I was in a major head on car accident Friday the 2nd in between Farmington and Rosemount, the truck is totaled :{ . I am very grateful that I was alone and in my truck because I have for injuries is a broken ankle. Just after I started getting it the way I wanted it, oh well. Now the search is on for an other 97 or 98 C/C 12V with manual trans. So I am sorry I won't be there to meet every one.

Randy

MJawsman, I sent you a PM and a message from the add.

RKraft, glad you are OK, sorry about your truck. I have been there and done that deal. Look forward to meeting ya sometime... ... ... . later Jim.

Randy, if you still wana come, I can give you a ride if you like. Just because the truck is totalled dont mean ya cant come and BS with the group. Also, I do know someone with a Black, 98 Sport QuadCab SWB CTD. Its a 12v'er, has a 5 spd, new clutch, and only 160k miles on it, and is in ok shape. Has a little body damage, nothing serious though. I was thinking about buying it for the wife, but the $$$ just aint there right now. let me know if you interested. Oh, its also got a 99 Sport conversion on the front end.

-Matt

PS: just how bad is the truck? got pictures? where did ya get in a wreck? Also, if its totalled, how much to buy it back? If the engine faired ok, along with axles and drivetrain, you could easily part it out for a good amount of change if the buy back price is decient for the INS. Co.

First of all, I'm happy to hear you are ok Randy. As Matt just said... . Feel free to come anyway! Just because you don't have a/your truck doesn't mean you cant come!

Thanx for the heads up on the stuff Mark!

Josh

Thank's guy's I don't have picture's yet, friend of my drove over to Dick's towing impound lot in Apple Valley and was going to take a picture but they would not let him. The frame is bent and drivers front tire is gone hopefully engine and trans are okay. Matt if you don't mind either pm me with the number for that truck or call me 952-953-0162. I told my son I would try to find a blue truck but I was thinking of going to the dark side for a 4door PSO, but I really loved my 12v Cummins. So please let me know Matt I am interested hopefully I will have insurance check soon. I have to find out when my surgery is and I will let you know about the ride. Thanks again for everybodys concern I appreciate it very much.

Thank you

Randy

I was the wreck on HWY 3 in betwwen Rosemount and Farmington Friday at 6:45p. m. It was not pretty, if you have read the Sunday paper you would.

I just remembered..... HoleshotHoleset might be selling his 98 extended cab 5spd 12valve..... might want to shoot him a PM

Josh

That was what I was thinking the time I saw this. His is blue, 12v 98. 5 extended cab long box 5spd. He will be at my place this Friday, but with his 94... ... ... ... puller... ... ..... go get em Matt.

Glad to hear you're ok Randy. If you're interested in rebuilding your truck, I have a frame for a cc longbox. Also a cab if needed. Just thought I'd let you know.

Corey

Randy, glad you are ok and alive! I know exactly how the idiots drive on 3. I used to drive that route every day on my way to work at AAA. They are ruthless! I would much rather drive 494 at 85 mph during rush hour. Good luck on finding a truck. I have a friend with a 12 valve 5 speed quad/longbox 4x4 4 sale. I think it has like 130 to 140 on it with a Ranchhand bumper up front and white with tan interior. lemme know if you're interested. Chris

I had an idea today for the meeting on the 18th! I suggested we bring anything we have for sale or trade to a meet we had in Minooka, IL and have a small swap meet thing. It worked out pretty good down there if you guys are interested. We also listed things in our forum so each of us would have a chance to put money together and discuss things beforehand. Kinda like Mark posted above on his items. I actually bought the shocks and cover from him. Thanks Mark! Anyways it's just an idea. Chris

I have a set of stock 98 12 valve auto sticks, a set of 00 24 valve manual stock sticks, an aluminum bull bar for the front end, stock 00 aluminum wheels w/caps and lugs, tailgate black plastic (was spoken for once by a MNTDR guy but I forget who... speak up if it's you), a 38 inch mudder tire on rim(new), a set of 5" bull hauler stacks with a heavy built crossover box-like to trade for 4 or 5" rear exit exhaust-no junk please, and a home built heavy bumper for 2nd gen truck-can email a pic-not pretty but heavy duty and works great on a plow truck, and a set of heated power factory mirrors from a 00 with control knob.

Chris, AWESOME idea!

here is a list of my goodies I want to sell...

4 - 36x13. 5R16 Tires on 16x8 Aluminum AR Classic II Rims (8 on 6. 5") (not alot of tread, but still work awesome offroad)

1 set - 2000 Factory Heated Power Mirrors

1 - 2000 SLT Grill, part of the honeycomb is broken and a small crack in the cross, but all hard to see

1 - Right Headlight assembly with side marker

2 - 4' Firestick antennas (no mounts)

1 - Stock SLT front bumper with plastic trim (some clips broken) includes the foglights, bumper brackets, and as much of the hardware as I can find

1 - Set of 2000 Stock Dodge Mist Grey Cloth Seats (front only with console) out of a Quad Cab. Both are non-powered. Drivers seat has a tear on the side where they all tear, and the plastic piece for the chest belt in the head rest broke, but probably could just be glued back in.

Might have some other stuff, have to go look

Great idea! We can have this as a side note for all of our Meets if you guys would like. It's quick and easy, and can be done at any time!

Great idea Chris!

Since it was asked... .

When: Sept 18th (sunday) at 10am till... ...

Where: Blatz/Mach 5 motors in Ramsey

Directions are EASY!

If you are comming from the Cities... . Get on 10 west. (or 169 north, they join in Anoka) It is between Anoka and Elk River on the right side. Just before Ramsey Blvd. There is a Ramsey General Rental just before it and an MGM liquor just after it.

If you are comming from the Beautiful north country... . down 169 or 10 They join in Elk River. Watch for Ramsey BLVD, you will be taking a left. Then take a left into the Holiday parking lot. Drive past the station, you will see Fleetwood collision. Follow the parking lot around and you are there. It's pretty easy, but kind of a pain to explain the parking lot situation.

If you want to BBQ, please bring your own food. I will try to bring my grill and enough charcoal.

We can do some light mechanical, timing, ETC. The hoists we have are not strong enough to lift our trucks. Sorry guys.

Josh

Josh, Is there enough room to park my 44' trailer at the shop or at the Holiday? Also is the Holiday a station or a hotel? I'm not sure what day I will float into the cities but I plan on making it to the meet on Sunday. I have a load to pick up in Wadena and a piece in Foley but can only get loaded Friday and Saturday AM. Is anyone up to changing out hub bearings in my trailer? They are the Dexter oil bath hubs. I would also like to get my 2" coil blocks in, my Bushwackers painted and installed, stacks out and rear exit installed, Transfer Flow put in, Mag Hytec installed, a set of Bilsteins installed, cab visor painted and installed, Hi idler installed, Eaton shift knob installed for the jake, Westin front bumper installed, new RH light and marker installed, and if we have time maybe get the truck washed and detailed for the first time in several monthes! I'm just kidding Josh! Any idea yet on who is coming to this meet? Chris
