MO truck pulls

Well, good thing I decided not to join you this weekend.

It appears the head gasket failed on my truck. Globs of oil in the coolant system.

But, the opportunities open up being the head gasket must be replaced... ... .

JohnE, Sorry to hear you are haveing troubles too. . I just got back from the lake and my TST power max just quit on me. . I hope it's just A loose wire. . Either way , if I go to the event tomorrow I think I will just drive my work car. . Then I am garrenteed not to have troubles getting there and back. .

Sorry to hear about the trouble both John and Casey.

John I'm voting for an in-chasis rebuild... ceramic coated pistons... . fire ringed... . then it's ready for twins and a Stoopid pump... . etc

Josh

I think I'll keep it simple this time.

3 angle valve job, o-ring & 12 mm studs.

I did get a chance to check Piers modified head gasket with full copper fire rings. Reminds me of the way gaskets used to be made with copper steel laminate and a double copper wrap at the fire ring.

I'ts too bad I only had enough fuel for the injectors alone. :( I can't see what kind of Cain I can raise once I have enough fuel and it is warm outside. :-laf

My sister and I had a great time. She really enjoys this kind of stuff. Much to the chagrin of our parents I might add. Thanks for setting this up.

You know sometime Josh or if any wants, everyone knows I live in WI. I have 80 acres of land and no neighbors. The roads to my home are paved, no dirt roads in WI. Anyway if you guys ever want to just come out sometime and bomb at my place that is fine with me. I am sure in WI I can find beer to drink, and with a paved road out front of the house I am sure the cows wouldn't mind a lot of black smoke and some tire chirpping... ... ... ... . lol. Just an idea, it's not like I don't have enough room for parking, cripe we could even have a barn dance if you wanted... ... ... . lol.

Well I know if I had a barn dance you better bring a partner, cause I am not dancing with ya... ... ... ... ... ... lol. As far as the cows, well you do what ya want. You slip in a pie, well the hose outside is yours all day... ... ... ... ..... lol.

I took A few pictures while I was out in the parking lot , so if anybody wants me to E-mail them copies of them hears my address : -- email address removed -- Just say "mntdr" in the subject. .

SMorneau,

I'm liking the straight pipe. Sounds like a demon semi truck. :)

Between my BHAF and straight exhaust, seat of the pants impressions are good, and sound impressions are real good! It seems to boost quicker, and even though it is arguable if there were any power gains, it can roll those 315s on pavement easier than before. I like it. I got home at about 12:30am - back window open the whole way.

I'm learning how to be light-footed around police now. Making this thing be not loud takes a little talent. This is a good problem to have.

Believe it or not but I haven't totally disappeared... Unfortunatly, I wasn't able to make the meet Sunday due to some house shopping that needed to be done. Sounds like it was a pretty good time though. I'll do my best to make the next one...

Anyway, here's the status on the mnpoc.org website: Chuck was nice enough to send me quite a few pictures of the last meet. These are currently sitting in my inbox and will be added to the website at the same time I upload the new pics of my daughter to my website (with-in the next day or two). I also recieved some pics from Casey that will be uploaded at the same time.

I have a bunch of pics from the dyno meet from John that still need to be uploaded as well. Those have become a lower priority though due to the new meet pics.

I'll try to keep you guys posted with my progress... Thanks for being so understanding...

Curt,

I as well as everyone else want to think you for putting the time into doing the site for us. It makes things easier to view, and remember.

Josh

PS, Looking forward to havin you out to our next meet!

Hi

Sorry I couldn't make it. Its just to early in the day for me. Then go and work all night.

Just wonder if any one is interested some used tires? They are

B/F Goodrich A/T KO 285/75/16 About 1/4 or less tread left.

I have three to get rid of. Five bucks for each tire.

I'm keeping the fourth for a spare tire. Figure thats all ther good for now.

If no takers then off to the scrapper.

Say Josh the phone to Rock Falls is 715-879-5089. If you want I can call out there, looks as if April 10, May22, June 20, August 29, Oct 10, and Oct 23. Those are the dates for a fun race, I haven't looked to see what BIR has to offer yet. Talk to you guys in a month, Jim.

Truck has new life

Hello Guys,

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to John Erickson for his superb help installing GSK and AFC springs and fuel filter last night. Even though it was pretty darn cold in Crookston, install went smooth and my truck has new life. I also appreciated his family's hospitality and good choice on the pizza!

Today we went to Mike's shop at Northwood and put her on the dyno. I am a novice at this but Mike said she pulled a respectable 260 H/P and had 617 torque. All I know is she feels like a new truck and my power band is awesome. Even with 4:10 gearing it is hard to hold her under 80 on the interstate. Mike and John gave me a list of items to check on before my trip to Alaska. I plan on giving Tim Christensen a call as soon as my new shocks and minor body work is done.

Not sure if any one needs them but I now have a pair of Governor springs for the 5 speed if anyone needs then. Apparently Pierz sends both along when you buy them.

BTW, I also enjoyed the meet in Champlain, but didn't stay long as I was a little under the weather. Nice to see all those trucks lined up.
